"Well yes we do know where we hunt but not everything in the woods or surroundings is friendly like rogues, loners, kittypets foxes and badgers so by regularly checking our borders we can tell important details like who passed close by, if a fox or badger has settled in or something stole prey. Then by scent marking these spots it can show where our territory is and for them to stay away if they don't listen well then they can't blame us for getting hurt." Redcloud shrugs "We may be friendly towards frostclan but we still need to eat and survive just like them so letting someone dangerous in could be bad"
Roselight
With several small herb bundle Roselight was struggling to carry them all "should of brought that annoying furball with me to carry this lot." she grumbles. Unable to see the vine in her path she trips twisting her paw growling in pain she drops some of the herbs. Rising slowly she stumbles back too camp calling out "Longtail are you in here??"

Nodding tiredly "thanks sis hopefully if i'm not woken so much by Night's snoring i might do so." flicking her head over at Night.
"Most of the time they can be kind or helpful towards us but not all kittypets like having us around sometimes they can be nasty or mean to clancats" he chuckles. "my dad once swore he took on four kittypets at once trying to impress my mom though i never truly believed him"

"That's ok but sometimes kittypets can be bad or troublesome and those are the ones i would rather keep out. As they can bring danger to us and our clanmates and with leafbare coming the last thing we want is fighting when herbs will be scarce" he added.
