"Sure I'm not, but you might be if you stick around running into random people, and I'm not in the mood to make any enemies trying to bail you out," deadpanned Harvard, drumming his fingers on the *insert gun part* of his... gun. "And if anyone is stupid enough to get on top of the skyscrapers, they deserved to die. I don't know what fantasy stories, you read, but battles aren't fought on the rooftops."

*daictetly shoves her out to the garden so I dont have to rewrite that block of text*

The boys looked up. Nic looking quite confused.

"Um, this is Bildernia? I mean surely you know that right? Its kind fo he only place in Terrarine for the last 50 years?" Lish asked. "Or did that guy with the memory-erasing Gift use his power on you by chance?"

"It would not be be the first time..He should really learn his Gift much better..." Nic mttered. Hypocraticlaly since be himself barely had his teleportation under control.

Alastor shrugged. "I have an unhelpful ability of become a ghost whenever I'm close to death." He eyed the gun nervously recognizing the weapon from wounds he'd seen, but no one in Canopus had that type of weaponry, which was probably a good thing given if they did, there would be no Canopus.

He frowned considering what Harvard said, "Well I assume they would, where I come from battles are fought on mountain cliffs, so here that's the equivalent of skyscrapers."

Astra smiled. "Oh I'm in Terrarine." She tapped a finger to her eye. "Sorry, I'm blind, but would have figured out where I was eventually." She frowned thinking of what she was missing, oh right, she forgot to introduce herself. "By the way, I'm Astrana but most people call me Astra. You are?"

"Yes, well people can usually walk on mountain cliffs, can't they?" asked Harvard, and turned around without waiting for an answer. Then he heard a bloodcurdling scream from nearby and jumped. "That's not good."

Alastor frowned as he looked over. "If someone dies, you won't see me anymore." He said quite literally, although it probably sounded like he meant if someone died he was running away from the crime scene. He frowned and walked toward the noise. "Does this usually happen?" He asked curiously.

Casey had been long finished writing in his journal by the time they docked in Fletchirn, having pulled out a novel to read for the rest of the trip.

He politely thanked the older man for the ride and left the docks. Unlike the small village he had just left, Fletchirn was lively, even at night. He lingered at the huge merchant ships, and gawked at the taller-- more sturdy buildings. One of the biggest trading ports in Lai'anna, Fletchirn adopted many foreign influences from more technologically advanced worlds.

Harvard ignored him and started running towards where he'd heard the scream. Then he stopped suddenly, leaning against the wall as he drew his gun. "Shut up and don't move," he hissed.

Phoenix delicately weaved her way around the people in the streets. She didn't know what they were celebrating, and she didn't care. She'd have to go deeper into the city to find people who actually knew what was going on.
"Miss?"
Phoenix whirled around to see a young boy staring at the quill in her hand.
"Yes?"
"C-can you tell me a story?" He paused and then rambled on. "You're the story telling person, right? My mother says you would have a sword in one hand, and a kite-feather quill in the other." He pointed at it.
Phoenix raised her eyebrows, mildly impressed. "You have a good eye. What do you want to hear?"
"One about princesses!" said a little girl, peeking out from behind the boy's back.
The boy frowned at the girl who was probably his sister. "Those ones are boring, I want to hear one about warriors and battles! And I was the one who asked," he added.
The girl pouted like she was going to cry. "B-but..."
Phoenix leaned against the nearest wall with a smile, tapping the point of her quill against her hand. "Who says I can't tell one with both? Sit down. Don't go around telling everyone I'm here, I'm on secret business." She'd just rather not have a horde of kids following her begging for stories. Of course, she doubted the kids would keep their mouths shut, but it was worth a shot.
The children obediently plopped down in the middle of the dusty street, and stared at her impatiently with wide eyes.
"Once upon a time, there was a princess who was the fairest in the land. Many princes desired her hand in marriage, but her interest did not lie in any of them."
"Her kingdom was at war, and her family wished her to marry into another noble line to secure an alliance. But it is said that instead of sitting in the castle looking pretty, she would be fighting on the front lines..."

"Lish. Thegrumbly one's Nic."

Nicote sent a glare Lish's way. "Yes, well, uh....How in Soleli did you get here? There is none here who can portal to places outside of Terrarine, that we know of at least."

Astra tilted her head at them both curiously. "Well, he's not that grumbly, at least not as bad as other people I've seen. Well, I can't create them, they just kinda appear and they're less portals and more of where the places intersect in their revolutions."

She frowned trying to figure out how to explain it before giving up with a shrug. "It's not exactly that hard, you just have to pay closer attention to the small details but it comes naturally to me."

---

Alastor took this quite seriously. He froze right where he was, which happened to be in the middle of drawing a sword and held his breath. He also wasn't particularly hidden since he had frozen in the middle of walking along the roads. He was going to make a comment that shouldn't he be in a better spot, but the man with the gun had said shut up and don't move so he was going to shut up and not move. Who knows, maybe the dude in front of him knew that the ground right in front of him was fake, Alastor for one did not know what kind of fancy traps this place was hiding.

(I like your story, especially the instead of sitting in the castle looking pretty part)
