Cobalt opened his eyes, unable to sleep. Moving so he was sitting just outside the concrete tent, he gazed at the sky.

Phoenix sat next the fire, heckin off in his head the list of the 100 constalations visible at this time of ywar.

Peggi slept.

Cobalt tilted his head. He couldn't help but wonder if anybody else was out there, looking at the same sky... Bored, he cast his mind back to his early years, before his Uncle had kicked him out. When he was but three years old, he remembered the man was kind to him, remembered the man hadn't beaten him or forced him to fight. Then the war was there.

(when is owl planning to hop in? anybody know?)

(Dunno but we should at least let these peeps meet before it becomes 4 pages of wandering (I did that once it was all write scribble and repeat on every post I can link if u want :D)


Phoenix kept going over the constellations.

(Owl is now hopping in because owl was in school. Owl came back to 23 pings.)
Akio looked at Akira impatiently. "Are you going to look around forever? If there's nothing useful here we'd better go before something... Bad finds us."
'Wait, " grumbled Akira. "I saw something shiny. If it was metal, we need it."

Phoenix was half asleep and had dropped his pieces of metal and the spare wood. He'd slipped outside and the fire had almost died.Peggi was asllep inside the rocky area.

Willow lit a small fire and made something small for the pair to eat, slowly they dined on some lizard meat. It wasn't the best but it was something and really in these hard times it was all a person needed. After they ate Matt was incredibly tired, getting out her blanket she snuggled into Willows side quickly falling asleep. Willow smiled warmly down to the child, her arm now around her pulling her close to not only keep her warm but safe. She loved this child.. it made her think about the past. What if her and Paul had gotten married like her parents and had children if this had never happened? Don't think about that now Willow told herself sternly, she could of only prayed for a child like Matt and she was so fortunate to have at least met and taken care of her. She smiled warmly still, she considered Matt her child now, as Matt had no parents and she thought that Matt too thought this way, or so she could only ever hope. She stayed alert, looking into the skies above and smiling. The starlit sky was the last thing left she had seen that reminded her of better, more peaceful times before the dreaded war.

Cobalt took another metal rod from his bundle. Grinding the blunt edge against the concrete, he gradually sharpened it.

Phoenix went back to Peggi, finally dozing lightly.

The edge of the first rod sharpened, Cobalt took another and began spiking it as well.
