You finally arrive in the small town, ready to begin your journey. Before doing anything, though, you check your backpack to make sure everything you had packed is still intact. Thankfully, everything is fine.

Inventory:

Small backpack - Capacity: 15 - Remaining space: 10
1 tent
1 canteen of water
1 sandwich
1 lasso
1 coin pouch - 500 gold coins

You also remember that you had bought a small stables only an hour or so of a trek away, capable of holding 10 horses.

What do you decide to do first?

(Do we need to keep track of our own inventory ?)

Velos walked forward, looking around patiently side to side. he decided to head towards the stables, he would check it out first and make sure it was suitable for living conditions. He would come back to the town and buy supplies to make the stables more comfortable afterwards if necessary.

You remember that the ruins are a long way's away. Undeterred, you begin your journey. After about half a day of walking, your feet are sore and you have become quite hungry and thirsty. However, you can see a river in the distance and remember that it passed about halfway through the meadow, and was about a third of the way to the ruins.

It's not a far trip to the town. As you arrive, you can hear shop owners advertising their assortment of goods. You wonder which store to go into.

I head towards the river, using the fresh water to cool myself off and drink my fill. I also eat my sandwich.

It's another hour or so until you get to the town. As you open the door to the tack shop, you hear a loud bang followed by a surprised shout. You enter the shop to see an older man struggling to pick up a slew of fallen grooming supplies.

(I'll keep track of it, but it's good to know what's in your inventory anyways)

The trek to the stables was rather uneventful, but you did notice a river within sight of the stables. You take note of that, figuring it would be quite useful. The stables itself are as expected. They appear to be newly built and have pastures large enough to fit the same amount of horses as there are stalls, 10. The hay you ordered has been placed accordingly, as has the bedding and tools. The only thing that stands out to you is the the empty tackroom - well, that and the empty stalls.

(Edit: no need to quote what I posted, though it's fine if you want to)

The water is refreshing and helps ease the soreness in your feet. As you drink, you catch sight of a few fish in the river.

(I dunno I've just gotten so used to quoting I'llprobably end up doing it anyway :p thanks for letting me know tho)

I decide to try and catch them. instead of attacking them in the water I try to fling them out of the water then killing them.
