Golden Plover Puff: My big suggestion is to make they eyes gold, so that no matter how many vis, you will always be able to see the gold on it! Otherwise, I LOVE it!

Popsicle Neph: Very creative! And you picked the perfect species to match with your theme. My suggestion would be less blue, and just try and see if a purple would look good in there. (My little cousin's favorite Popsicle flavor is grape, purple is not an uncommon Popsicle color)

Crab Beach Qit: I would suggest less tans and browns (Don't get rid of them completely though, you need them) and more darker reds. This would capture more of a crab feeling in my opinion.

I love your designs!

Thank you! I'm glad you like them. :)
Puff: New:Old - I changed up the EC. It's not a huge difference - but I think the golden interferes with some trait colors, especially on the 6v female. I'm leaning towards a darker golden color to keep those accents but still get the golden from the golden plover lol.

Neph: New:Old - Purple, I feel, is a hard color to work into this design. I try to usually stick to three or less colors per design (less cluttery, gives the eye more places to land) - but I'll see if I can play with a pink-purple.

Qit: I was very out of inspiration on this one. xD I think I'm gonna completely change it up - maybe just to 'Crab Qitari'?

Thanks for the feedback!

I agree that the Nytes appear that way, I'll take it into account if/when I fiddle with them!

For the Qit, I do agree that they remind me of the Breaching Orca Qits but I looked at them side by side and they really look nothing alike, but they both use blues and whites. After fiddling with the qits, after a while I decided to stop and ask for input so I agree that they're still not quite right.

For the Summer Squid Vorps, the picture is of a pink one with a white background but since they live in the sea I added some blue greens to make it resemble a fish a bit more.

Jelly Blubber is actually an animal! I thought it was so goofy and cute when I first heard of them but the reference pic I used was this one but I decided not to add it because I took quite a few liberties with the colors on my Nixis and it doesn't exactly resemble the pic. I think I may put add it in now because I see how it can be confusing. If you look up Jelly Blubber you get tons of images of these adorable little guys.

I agree with you, the original Puff with darker eyes does look better. Well, now we know! It's always cool to see how one little detail can have such a big effect on designs in general.

As for the Neph, I do prefer the purple on the Neph, I feel like its more inviting to look at and and gives it more beauty. But, if you don't like that, maybe you could try G3 and EC as purple, and the rest back to your original blue? Maybe a more subtle color would be pleasing? Maybe like this?

I think a Qit remake could lead to a lot of inspiration :D

the green looks out of place in the design, maybe use it as an accent color instead of eye color
and the ultramarine blue and deep purple of the design don't seem as though they scream "lavender", maybe switch them around to have a more light lavender purple be the main colors and they be colors for something like G3 and eye color
other than that the consept is gfreat and the colors all work for the most part :)

I was thinking that maybe I should rename it Violet Bloom Nixis (or somthing about violets) because Violets are a tad darker than lavender, and I've been fighting to make it lighter and failing. What do you think?

Perhaps desaturating some of the colors? I like the idea of the green, it helps the design pop.

I was actually going to base it off of a fireflies body in general, but that looks really good!!!

I took your adjustment to mind; how does this look?

I actually thought that I had too much green, lol. ***Edited

Yeah, I totally get that, lol, I was worried about not making it look like it was 'sprinkled' as the name says, and making it dishwater.

New

Thanks for the suggestions!!
