Hearing the slight impressions of footsteps somewhere close, January takes in a sharp breath, standing up. Someone's here. Stars, stars, stars. He doesn't want to have to put his abilities into use- maybe it's just an animal, or me being jumpy-

Alastor mostly stayed silent through all this. He didn't know when to revel himself or how to interact. He hasn't interact with anyone for nineteen years. Alastor continue to watch the male with a sharp gaze.

A set of dark eyes with a clearly visible purple glow under the night came into view from higher up above, clearly from a tall man, but maybe one just a tad shorter than January himself.
It was hard to make out any of his features as if he blended entirely into the dark himself with all his efforts to remain hidden in the landscape, but Velfor stopped suddenly as he noticed January stand up and rose his hands defensively, indicating he was unarmed and not a threat.

Idalia faintly heard the note sung back to her. This could go one of two ways, She could turn the area into a blast furnace and reveal whatever has been stalking her, she could sing back and plausibly get toasted herself, or she could stop singing entirely and sneak up on whoever was hiding in the trees just to see what they were doing.

She considered this, looking at her torch- the third option was obviously stupid, but so was causing a forest fire. But Idalia was now curious. Idalia took a deep breath- she was also terrified of the dark. But you could also make another one. She reminded herself. Hesitantly, she put her hand over the torch and absorbed the small flame. Idalia was silent now and quietly, she crept towards the source of the note.

Idalia made sure to keep to the bushes, even if it meant tearing her clothes. She was also ready to fight, her internal temperature increasing a little bit, just in case she needed a quick escape.

January glances at Velfor and relaxes slightly, but his posture is still somewhat defensive. Okay, so he doesn't want to attack. That's good. Still, caution should always be taken no matter the circumstance. He nods at the other person, scanning the forest warily once again- I've been exceptionally jumpy tonight.
"H....hello." He calls with an awkward wave.

Alastor left seeing that the two are interacting. He continue to walk away and gets lost for the thousandth time since he lived in the forest.

Velfor lowered his hands. He was about to continue on his way before January spoke and he stopped again in his tracks.
