It has been many months, but it's finally out!
I have school right now, so I won't be able to give you your starting posts yet.
Feel free to look at the thread if you want in the meantime.

Everyone that was pinged has a spot reserved for them (except the person who (probably) didn't want to join)

It's a late afternoon during the chilling winter in Mirance, but luckily the warmth of a roaring fireplace is keeping the icy cold from seeping into your bones and the library warmly lit. As per usual, many diverse visitors are reading books or searching through the titles. Nobody has came up to you yet, whether that may be because they're well on their own or they're completely frightened of you to ask a query. For now, all you needed to do was register a handful of books and within an hour and a half, you could close the library and go on your merry way (as well as get paid for the day).

Most of the titles weren't particularly interesting:
What Kanaist Vodou REALLY is, A Guide on Weapons for the Magic User: From Veined Swords to Light Sparks, Eclipsed Love, The Humanoids of Excorgiti.

(Wow, look at me having you work as your starting post)

I sigh, pushing a lock of my white hair out of my eyes. Another day, another dollar, or so they say. I begin to catalogue the last couple of books, glaring at a couple of troublemakers- thieves, maybe- who have cornered an old man in one of the aisles. They hesitate and slink away, which is admittedly rather satisfying. I've been told I have that effect on people, many are terrified of me. Just a little longer, I assure myself. Then you're free at last.

Nothing eventful happens after the books were cataloged and the minutes started to pass by. A surprising amount of people, perhaps students, were still pouring over books at this time. Other than that, it seemed like this was going to be yet another normal day.

...

All of the sudden, a burst of flame from the fireplace leaped out and started to cover the very flammable books. It started to spread around the place and climb up the tall wooden bookshelves as patrons ran away in panic. You could smell the smoke and feel the searing heat from where you were.

I curse profusely, attempting to smother the flames as best I can with a couple of blankets. Such an incident hasn't happened in years- and while this event is certainly unfortunate, I suppose accidents are part of life around here. (Still, I am admittedly pretty ticked off.) The flames are rising, though, and I wonder how much more of this I can take before I have to give up and abandon the place.

Hullo :) This all looks pretty good! (Had a quick look around - I love your profile page templates xD)

Apologies for not responding before now - if there's still a spot saved for me, I'd like to join if that's alright.

So you know, the worst I'm probably going to get is only being online once a week.
