"Ah - thank. . .you," he manages to get out. Grabbing your hand, he pulls you into the small house and closes the door behind you two.

It's actually quite cozy in here. A stone fireplace has a pot hanging in it, and a nice smell is circling around. A faded rug lies on the floor in front of it.

A small table with two crude-cut stools are to the right of the fireplace, and a bedroll is to the left.

The guy sighs. "If you're gonna do something to me, please. . .do it now. This would be a good time."

Rin shrinks back a little. "Uh, what? Me? Do something? At this rate, I don't know what I'd do," he says honestly.

He walks over to the pot and stirs whatever's inside. "Well, I trust you a bit now. Congratulations."

"Oh, yeah. Forgot to tell you my uh. . .name." Popping a lid down on the pot, he turns to you. "I'm Hitori to some, Botchi to others."

He snickers a little to himself, like he just made some clever joke.

"Eh, call me whichever you want. . .I don't really care anymore."

It yips a little louder, but quickly quiets down. It's trembling, from either fear, cold, or both.

Rin gulps a little, confused and nervous. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Mister..... Hitori?" He grips his staff harder, which he tends to do when he's afraid.

He nods. "You too, uh. . .Isorin?"

Hitori sits on the ground in front of the fire, staring at the flames.

"How and why are you here?"

Rin sighs. "I don't... really know." He ponders for a second. "I had just graduated to the rank of Novice Mage back home. The rest is kind of foggy.... but I went to sleep one night, and in the morning I woke up here in the middle of the woods." He shifts a lock of messy mouse-brown hair over his shoulder.

She felt bad she tried to show it that she was unarmed and couldn't really hurt it

"Well, welcome to. . .Dorei," Hitori says. "I'm sure you'll have fun."

The sarcasm is dripping from his voice.

"I've been here for. . .ugh, I don't remember. A long time, I'm sure."
