"Sounds good to me," Hitari says absentmindedly as he turns the doorknob.

"I'll be right back. . .I'm just gonna check on something." Without waiting for a reply, he walks out.

Rin watches Hitari leave, but stays behind as per his orders.

The little owl struggles to its feet and opens its eyes, blinking slowly. It looks up at you and turns its head sideways.

A shadow passes by the window - but judging by the upset muttering, you can tell it's just Hitari going around the house.

"Oh! Hello, Felix," Rin says, trying out the owl's new name. He bends down to look the little guy in the eye. "You okay?"

The owl stretches out its neck, getting very close to your face. Staring you in the eyes, it doesn't even blink.

After a few seconds, it suddenly raps its beak on your nose - not hard enough to hurt, but enough to be startling.

Outside, you hear Hitari shout - but it sounds like anger, not surprise or fear.

"Oi!" Rin says, surprised. "You're a feisty little thing!"
He looks out to Hitami. "Are.... you okay?"

Something from outside hits the wall to your left. The owl, alarmed, takes a few steps away.

You can hear Hitari still - he's not yelling anymore, but now it's more like a "I'm your mother yelling at you but we're in public so I'll be quieter" volume.

Rin sighs. Hitari is probably fine. He tries to calm Felix the owl down. "Hey, it's going to be okay. Don't be afraid."

The owl's feathers are all fluffed up, but as you soothe it, the feather flatten back down.

Hitari's shadow flickers in front of the window again - he must be coming back in. Although, something seems wrong - he's not moving very fast, and you can hear him muttering and panting as he gets to the door.
