Now the urge to draw a proud looking shiny Altaria with a crown on her head is almost overwhelming :L

I disagree that Altaria is the best.
I honestly do not believe that there is any best pokemon each one battles in a different way.
But I think Tropius is the closest to perfection

C'mon! Tropius is...to me at least, down on the list! Though it's attacks are pretty good.

Junco, you're a man after my own heart haha. <3 Altaria!

I've decided that being a sky trainer will be my next challenge in Pokemon X, I think my team will be something like Talonflame, Aerodactyl, Altaria, Togekiss, Tropius and Swanna... BUT it's still a work in progress. (I mean, I wouldn't mind using a Braviary or a Mandibuzz, there's so much choice!)

To be honest, I find Altaria's 3D model a little disappointing. They did not spend nearly enough time making those clouds look fluffy and cloud-like. It just looks like a flat white... shape... they stuck on poor Altaria's front. Needs at least ten times more texturing and fluff.

And there are so many Flying Type options, argh. I like your team aside from the Swanna and Tropius, neither of whom I'm super-fond of. They're not bad, but they're "meh" at best for me.

I'd probably go Altaria, Crobat, Honchkrow, Sigilyph, Jumpluff, Archeops- but I'm weird like that. (4th Gen NU endeared me to Jumpluff SO HARD. First Pokemon I ever used without a single attack on it. Thankfully, it was fast enough to sleep any potential Taunters, first. Provided I got Persian out of the way, of course.)

I'm pretty split between Tropius and Jumpluff. I <3 Swanna though, the first time I played through X I picked one up just because Ducklett could be found pretty early, and my goodness that thing turned into the major player in my team. Dark horse of the party. :3
