Zac hopped into one of the front seats, he wasn't going to be stuck in the back. He went in the middle one to leave room for a driver and another person.

Skyler got on her horse, almost falling off again. "Alright, country boy. How do you control this thing?"

"So are you new here? Names Crow, I run the stables." The man said holding a hand out to Zac as he took the driver's seat. Dexion nervously climbed in beside Zac.

Zac shook the guys hand, "Zac, yep I'm new. I've played basketball all my life, never thought I'd be with horses."

"So you're an athlete then? Very cool. And you Dexion? What did you do before coming here?" At the very question the boy's face turned red.
"I-I didn't have much of a hobby. I did draw and write but it's been years now." He said shyly. "Ms. Linda paid for me to come here since I'm aging out of foster care. She wanted me to have one good experience before I have to live on my own." He said with a sad smile, the silver markings on his face twisting some.

Zac tried to lighten the mood as Dexion seemed upset, "Hey, that's pretty cool kid. Some can't even draw or write. Or at least.. it's ugly. Do you know how hard it is to peer mark some work? Anyway, living on your own can't be that bad, right? Freedom to do what you want. Seems pretty sweet, no one to boss you around"

"I guess...I just don't have a lot of experience being on my own least not in those terms." He said looking down at his lap. "And I'm not exactly the most confident of people." He twiddled his thumbs lightly as he said this. "I'm actually a bit scared to be alone, after all this happened." Dexion made a sweeping motion to his face and the scars upon it.

Zac winced as he took a proper look at the scars. They looked painful. He slumped back on the seat lazily, "So who you rooming with? And hey, cheer up. Most people start off in a cramped flat with several other Uni dorm mates." he wrinkled his nose, "So unless you include the manure smell, you ain't half bad where you are. You'd be better in good old Deutschland"

"I don't know who my roommate is." He said in a sad tone still. Honestly he had thought there would have been more questions on the matter. It's not everyday someone has a whole tree branded on their face and such. The light scar on his lip and the one under his right eye where nothing in comparison. Crow said nothing just listening to what Dexion had to say.
'So he's afraid of living alone? And it has to do with those marks on his face. Poor kid.' Crow thought to himself. "How could anyone do that to someone? Just look at him! He's so submissive and scared, yet they even went as far as branding him for all to see. It's going to take some time but I'm confident someone can help him come out of his shell. And the closet....' The man smiled lightly, eyes shining some. "If it makes you feel any better I think you look like a bad*ss with those scars."

River didn't say much, just watching the conversation as she climbed into a back seat.
