You hear a whimper behind you. Yep, definitely the cougar. . .why is it following and not attacking?

The pup pops its head back up and looks behind again. Tilting its head, it barks inquisitively. The cougar growls back sharply.

For a night in a new world, you don't actually sleep too bad. There's nothing to disturb your rest but the cold and slight fear of the shadow.

The light, just like the previous morning, wakes you by being kind enough to go directly into your retinas. Ouchie.

Rin shields his eyes and very nearly falls off his perch in the tree. He manages to grab on to the underside of the branch just in time. He frantically repeats the spell he used last night to get up in the tree. Fortunately for him, it works, and he lands awkwardly on the forest floor with a soft thump. He is not a skilled flier. I should really try not to use magic like that as often, he scolds himself. At this rate, I'l have lost control by the end of the week!

Her ears perked to the noises around her she didnt know if it was the whining from the cougar or the pup, she also didnt want to find out

The cougar is limping after you, looking disgruntled. When it sees you've turned around, it stops, its tail fur spiking a bit.

The fox pup manages to get free. It takes a few paces towards the cougar, but still hangs back.

Rin is glad the creature is gone. He gets up and wanders the fields a little, then mustering all his courage knocks on Hitari's door again.
