Wasn't originally planning on entering, but decided last minute to! I didn't have any eggs or even plastic or wood eggs to work with, so I decided to randomly try and learn how to sew an egg!

I went through about 3 test eggs, before making the final one here, making my own pattern for it! I attempted to make a fluffy bottom Lighira egg, using long fur fabric on the bottom, and faux leather with a scaly pattern for the top!
Making the bottom fur part was easy, just had to make sure not to snip the fur so it'll lay over the scaly top. The top was quite harder though, sewing it onto the fur was slow and tricky, so it wouldn't obstruct it, and the seams never got as smooth as I was hoping, but it at least looks like an egg nonetheless I think ^^
Once it was done, I realized the contest was more so about decorating an egg, as opposed to just making one, so I colored it in the pattern of Easter Egg 9. All in all I'm quite proud with how it can out, as my first real sewing project! :)

You would think this is the easiest step.... nope, I had to do it twice!


It wasn't any fun using an Exacto knife to scrape the shell for the hole!

Made a diorama-egg based on the mushroom hut in Sweet Blossom Orchard!
Started by printing out the template and making a prototype base to get an idea of the dimensions.


Decorating the inside of the bottom with some furniture and a few fun Sylestia Easter eggs, like the golden raven in the picture frame and Sylvorpa (my starter) decorations.


Decorated the top with some spots and windows


Decorating the floor piece, then finally gluing the bottom halves and flooring together!

Hey, that's me! I made my account aaaaall the way back in 2017, so I added that detail as well.

This is one of my chickens who passed away's eggs. I had been meaning to decorate them to memorialize them, this helped give me motivation. I used egg blowing to clear out the egg goo from inside so it will be able to be displayed forever. Hope it is okay to have the last image without my name, wanted to do a close up for details.

I was back and forth on whether to submit this cause I wasn't sure it would count.
It was supposed to be a Blossom the Bunny Bulb and Egg.
