Traditional Easter Egg Contest

The object of this contest is to decorate your own Sylestia-Themed Easter Egg!

This is the Traditional Easter Egg Contest!
There is also a Digital Contest, which can be found here.

Rules

1. You must submit ONE entry of a decorated Easter Egg. You are allowed to use pretty much any physical mediums for the egg (such as clay, Styrofoam, plastic, etc).

2. Your submission must be Sylestia themed in some way.

3. You must provide a minimum of 3 separate pictures of your creation/decorating process along with your Username and 2025 Easter Event physically displayed somewhere in each picture. Here is an example of how this should look:

You do not need to post them in a grid like this. I just did this to save space.

A Player Guide on How to Upload Images

4. You must actually be the one to create your entry! While assistance is fine, you cannot simply have someone else create your entry for you and then claim credit. If you are tracing an image for your entry, you must have been the one to originally create that image (Unless what you are tracing is a Sylestia asset, such as our pets, avatars, monsters, etc)! The main point of this contest is to have fun and be creative. So just do your best and have fun. =) We want to see your creativity!

5. Please do not reserve posts. Only post when you are ready to submit an entry. If your entry is still ongoing, you may post early with the progress that you currently have and edit your post as you finish.

6. Please do not ping me unless you have a specific question or concern that I need to address. Thank you.

7. The due date for submitting your entry is by the end of the Easter Event.

Is it okay to use a template as a base? Eg a blank white papercraft template, with the folds marked, and I decorate and assemble it.

Hm. I suppose that would be fine. Sounds similar to those who use kits in the Gingerbread Contest.

Alright! decided to try this this year cause might as well right?

also the top said plastic was ok, but i wasnt sure if using actual plastic eggs would be ok so ahaa

dont mind the blue egg it went away, howeverr the yellow one is based on the egg from the front page displayed for the easter event (will be put at bottom) and the second one is based on the gold prize theme egg (also below, dont mind the winter fest was the most recent i could find)

The Golden Egg is my main entry, using beads, gold flake, and modge podge mixed with mica powders to make it shiny
the other one was mostly for fun, drawn with the sharpie paint pens, refs:

tried so hard on this lol

So, this was my first time and what is an egg without an easter basket i forgot to add my Id but I have my name

so i was thinking of putting all the eggs in baskets just for an easter Suprise because unlike the fabled pets' normal pets are just eggs.

(I did forget the numbers for the first half of the painting, hope that's okay :c)
(ps: I remembered why I only do digital artwork now XD)

I was inspired by the abandoned nests and decided to make 3 -one each for the three places abandoned nests can be found . In the grass/forest , in a cave or in the water

I started by taking a roughly oval blob of raw wool

And felting it into a egg shape

I then wrapped a coating of dyed wool around for the eggs c2

Further felting then secured this in place

My next step was to felt in c3 dots with the smallest bits of wool I could separate off

With my three eggs complete I then started making their nests

For the forest egg I tried to make it like a real world birds nest
I crocheted the base and then added some crochet pillars I could weave between and a top ring to hold them up

I then used a different brown to weave among and through the pillars

Before folding the woven section in half and sewing it in place
I then placed the first of my felted eggs in it

The next nest was the cave one
For this I crocheted some rocks to wedge the egg in

And attached them to a piece of loosely felted grey wool to represent the cave floor

For the final egg I simply made some crochet chains to wrap it in seaweed before it was set adrift

Leaving my final entry as 3 eggs in there varied nests
