Technically the Vorp's got first revamp, cause the male vorp was revamped twice :D
Original
First Revamp
Current
(the first and last are of the same Sylvorpa. I'm kinda sad I don't have an image of him in the second version, and obvs he was regenerated for the final pic)

You're right, SpaceElf. I went back and looked at the revamp release forum posts, and I had remembered incorrectly. In doing so, I noticed how the Qitaris were given 15 new traits and the Sylvorpas were given none. I think every species after the 'Vorpas got new traits too. I get that 'Vorpas have a ton of traits (numbering 51 when the revamp was released) in comparison to say, the Kelparis, who had their total traits increased from 25 to 54 with the addition of new ones after their total overhaul. But some seamonkey traits could have been, perhaps...removed? Changed? Traded for something else? In order to make room for something new. I don't know about other species being neglected, but 'Vorpas haven't had a new non-restricted trait in over a year (Fairy Wings and Fairy Crown were released for Winter Fest 2015). It bums me out.

The neck frill was a mutation that was removed when the vorps were revamped :D
Here is the original thread for the first male vorp (image from it copied below) if you were curious.
and a quick remake of that vorp
I think it ended up much better :D
(I guess I should have just used this comparison in the first place)

Yeah! I do remember the neck frill going bye-bye...! That was a thing that could totally have been redesigned and made better, imho.

I miss the neck frill to some extent. I had a female that reminded me of Kermit.
Regarding sylvorpa traits, I wonder if we won't be getting many new traits for them until the site itself is revamped. They're getting pretty full on traits. Gene 1 only has a spot for one more trait though there's still some breathing room on some of the other slots. Krin said he plans to redo how traits are assigned so you won't have to worry about hitting letter "Z".
I would love it for some of the wing traits to get revisited and made more transparent. It would benefit the male lineart in particular.

Am I the only one who feels like some of the M1 traits should be moved to M2? I'd love to be able to do encroaching seaweed with sea fur. Seashells would also look nice with some of the back mutations (bio-lum spines or sea fur). I might be biased, though, since the only wings I like are the fairy wings. It would be nice to have something else in M2 that I liked. :-P
Vorpas do have a lot of gene 1 and 2 traits, but M2 could certainly use a bit of loving. To be fair, though, until this last fest no one has been getting any new non-restricted traits. A fact that had bummed me out and worried me a bit. With all of the work on revamping, though, I doubt we are going to see much for the species that have been revamped until all the others are done.

SpaceElf: Dexy is looking good!
Also, does your tadpole still need a home? I'd be happy to provide it.
Seeing old pictures of species that got revamped before I joined the side is always very fascinating. The Vorpas really did get better.

I just decided to give my Sparkling Stream Vorpas Valentine Lace. If Anyone is interested, Arielle is set up for breeding:

He does indeed, Mohya. If you want to adopt him, he's set to come home with you.
Sorry he is already named ("Downdraft"--I name all my CN Vorpas for weather phenomena caused by cool/cold nights), but you know how I am about naming. I didn't realize at first that he had Carried Spooky Fog.
I'm afraid he has acquired a phenomenal number of bathtub toys, but I shall try to get him to pack only his favorites.
