He growls loudly, glaring down. "And where are we going to get that?!"

Ember watched as she revealed the scars. Quite an impressive one too. With Tsun's reputation, it was an easy thing to believe. He spoke little, worked much, and was a muscular, deep blue giant with sharp teeth. But truly, he was a sweetheart. And that was something the vendor didn't need to know.

He went a little more green as he stared, and his voice shook despite his brave answer. "Funny, girls. Now leave."

"Oh no," Ember's voice dripped as she reached into her leather satchel. "We have one more thing to show you, in case you'd like to change your mind."

Slowly, she drew out the silver swan, and the green dragon's eyes widened, snatching it from her talons. "This is an authentic piece of Master Tsun," he marveled, turning it over. "The delicate work, perfect silver and nickel ratio. Even the eyes are a definitive shape, and his signature is inside the wing!" The vendor held it close to his chest and looked at Ember skeptically. "Where did you get this?"

"Master Tsun, of course!" She hissed, lashing her red tail in annoyance.

The vendor held it tighter. "Are you sure you didn't steal it?" He asked, glancing at the little dark dragon.

"I find we can find one in those who've suffered." , Pestmer answered.

Ah... crap. What do I say? Elenor thinks frantically. Truth. Just speak truth and you won't make a mistake.

"Sir, if I had any knowledge that this... figurine," whatever the heck it was supposed to be. Some kind of bird anyway, "had been stolen, I would have made it my duty to return it to Tsun immediately. I know my place." Reinforcing the lowly, obedient bodyguard facade, and still speaking truth.

Zilla had started to argue with herself. Others began to look her way. She stomped paused in the middle of the street. She looked around then flew off to the side of it.

"Of course we didn't steal it," Ember spat. "I told you, I'm Tsun's supplier, and a friend. He crafted it for me!" Out of the silver I stole and the sapphires from the eye sockets of those dead dragons when I met Swan.

"It's pieces are not worth much on it's own, but it's Tsun's work. I'll give you rhodium chips if I can have it."

"No!" Ember hissed frantically. "It's mine!"

The vendor glared. "Look, do you want rhodium or not?"

Ember tried to reach for the swan, but the old dragon pulled it out of reach. "You stupid old jellyfish, give it back! Or you're asking for it."

This situation was going south. This object was important to Kona and was only meant to prove a point - now this dragon thought it was payment. I'll show him payment.

Elenor rose up from her cowering pose, stretching her wings out to look threatening. She kept her voice calm and clear. "Dragon, weren't you listening? I have told you of my act of disobedience, and it's consequences. Must I tell you what happens to the fool who steals from master Tsun and his closest allies?"

Just don't ask about that dragon for goodness sake, I can't half-truth that much.

She reaches out her palm, growling: "Trade or no trade, that figurine stays with us. Will you be the fool or the dragon who walks away after this?"

The green dragon stared at her for a moment. Skeptically, he broke eye contact to look down at the swan in his talons. Looking back up, he met eyes with Ember. She bared her teeth at him, tail lashing. "I give you to the count of three."

"Three." She snarled, and lunged over the tabletop for his neck.

Elenor jumped into action a heartbeat later - jumping for the silver figurine. Kona had the dragon handled, she'd help pin him down if the fight looked ready to turn.

A snarl erupted from her lips and she let her flammable, misty breath shoot out on instinct. She maximised all of her senses and instantly felt everything around her slow down slightly - a sharp and mind-clearing pain shooting through her head.

Grabbing for the figurine, she half watched Kona at her side to see how she would fight and if she needed help at any point.
