He slowly awakens, his eyes flashing open to reveal bright red slits as he glares up at her. "Where is Manika?!" He growls, becoming frantic as he tries to fight out of her grip.

Pestmer gripped his shoulders. "Stop!" , She growled, raising her voice for once. "She's gone, I don't know what will happen. But if you try to fight Inpostura like my brother, you'll get killed."

He glares at her, "And what if she ends up like your brother?!" He growls out.

Elenor hesitated for barely a heartbeat, before figuring it out. Ah, a bluff. Got it.

She rose slightly out of her degrading pose, as if in outrage, and peered down her snout at the vendor. "Evidently not, m'lady," she said reverently. Not overdoing it with 'your majesty', however keeping it imperious but simple.

She kept one eye on the green dragon and the other at the passing shoppers. She casually let her ridged tail sweep out behind her, forcing the passers-by to give them more room - and privacy, to deal with this seller as they would.

"The names Pelegrin- Not as exquisite like Vark, but its mine." He replied, cheerfully.
He shook Varks claw with both of his hands, his hold careful as if he was dealing with priceless porcelain. The touch might have not even been there at all.

"Oh, you say it like its a bad thing- There is something breathtakingly beautiful about being able to leave at any moment. Why waste that? I have seen way too many dragons chain themselves to places that mean little to them. No one deserves that, especially not you. So why not search for a home somewhere else?"

Its all half--whispered in one continuous breath, Pelegrins tone getting continuously softer. His mind was somewhere far away, in images of broken families where the hatchlings were the ones to stop the cycle. Homesteads left for nature to take, since their warmth all drained away.
These are happy memories now, Pelegrin didn't mind letting them reach him now and then.

"But before you do that, perhaps we could take our conversation somewhere else? Id love to talk to you more but I'm afraid the middle of the street is not a good place for it. Someone is bound to step on us eventually."

"I know my sister, she won't kill her. Inpostura will only keep her there until I come for her." , Pestmer growled back, this time baring her teeth.

"I am Kona. I'm the supplier of the master crafter Tsun. He desperately needs rhodium for his most important piece of artwork yet. Alas, he sent me out with no money, with the promise that whoever supplied it would be fully paid in 3 days." Ember leaned casually on the wooden table in front of her, not looking the vendor in the eyes.

He snorted. "You think I'm going to fall for that? You're a scam like everyone else. You're not who you say you are, so unless you have something worth value or can prove that it's true, you and your slithering companion can beat it."

He slowly stands, wincing as he shakes his head. "We need to get her back..." He whispers, he only found himself protective of the two because they were the only ones who offered to take him in, most that saw him thought him ugly with his torn tail and dark grey scales that could be mistaken for dirty.

(Kinda forgot to add any scars to Elenor's appearance, but eh - nevermind)

So, the guy wasn't the type to be easily baited with the promise of a bit of cash. In that case, a little alteration of the promise of punishment tactic might work on him.

Keeping to the weak dragon act, Elenor shrank back a little at the words 'slithering companion'. "We can prove that when Tsun makes a promise, he keeps to it," she says, forcing a waver into her voice.

She lifted her head up to show the marks of a bite wound on her neck that were usually hidden from sight. She repressed a shudder, remembering the memory of the time she got them, and carried on.

"I got this the last time I disobeyed orders, and paid the price." Technically true. "But my pain doesn't matter to you - only the fact that Tsun will always fulfill a promise. I haven't seen him break one yet." Also technically true - she hadn't seen him make a promise, so couldn't have see him break one either.

"Not now!" , Pestmer hissed. "Well need an army, not two dragons. She'll kill all three of us."
