*Sounds good... Ill take first grinding shift* Rhea decides. *You guys can go do what you want* she tells you, pulling out her longsword

*Ill probably go back to skill training* Rio decides and starts jumping away, which looked a little ridiculous, Rhea was clearly trying to hide a laugh as her twin hopped like a rabbit or a child playing a game.

*I understand skills are important... but that doesnt make it any less funny* Rhea says to you. *Well, have fun Alex* she says, heading back into the town, probably to find the next area to hunt higher level enemies in.

"See ya around." ALex went to go see if there was an easy quest to do, something without requiring battling. Or maybe he'd go buy a health potion or something.

You couldnt quite find any quest givers around, but you did find a potion store and bought a weak restore potion, which could restore 50 hp and cost 10 silver. When you exit the shop, there are two players arguing. One of them had a gray cape on top of her basic gear, meaning there were definitely cosmetics for sale here, and the other was a very tall, bulky dude who was mildly intimidating. The players seemed to be arguing over something, something about materials and supplies.

He discretly got closer. No need to draw attention.

Youre about to go talk to another quest giver, but then you find yourself transported into the seat of a large theater with an open roof. Everyone is confused and loud murmurs between players fill the space. There are two large screens above the stage, which seems out of place for a high fantasy game. It seems like everyone is unable to leave their seat. The seat next to you has a young boy who looks to be about 15, with scruffy red hair and lots of freckles on his face, who also doesnt seem to be seated near anyone he knows. A hush fall over everyone as a man begins to walk out on stage.

*Hello, Tech Infinity players, I am the games creator, you may call me Infiniternity* He introduces himself. He was a tall, rather strong looking man with short, dusty brown hair. *I feel as if many of you have noticed that there is no log out button- that is intentional.* he says in an almost menacing tone. *Ill explain everything* he says, as players began to outrage, it suddenly got quiet, as he seems to have muted everyones voices and paused their movements in time.

*Thank you for settling down* he started with a smirk *In short, welcome to your new home! Were going to be here forever, or until everyone is dead, at least* he says grimly *I have brought everyone here to start a new age of life, one without the need for physical living, we can all now live inside this game, and create an incredible life of fantasy* he says proudly. *However, there is one drawback- if you die in the game, you die in real life* He says.
.
Phoenix's jaw dropped, and she looked around to see everyone else's reaction. Surely someone had died already. She could've died already. How was this possible? What would happen if someone from real life woke her up?

"But Fenn! Think about how much more potions could sell for? And we can use them ourselves!" The girl with the cape argued.

"Shrew, listen to me. We're going to be here forever, I wanna max out my cooking stat, imagine how much money a restaurant could make here, especially replicating the taste of real world foods, we can taste everything like its real! And what if people want NPC potions instead of ours!" Fenn retaliated.

It seemed like the two were arguing over whether to use something to make potions or cooking.

"Well, I'll leave everyone with a parting gift... perhaps not all of you will appreciate it, but everyone who has died already is given a second chance this time... perhaps some day there will be a way to escape, but for now" Infiniternity waved an arm "Have fun with your new life!" He said, transporting everyone to back where they were before they were transported to the theater.

I stare for a moment, registering it, then wondering if I need to change my nickname. Normally this wasn't a problem, but in a world with so many people, not just gamers, I might be recognized. And people tended to look to people they knew to lead them. I was not a leader.

The world map could only show you where you have seen/traveled to before, but luckily, the meadows were close enough to be on your map. The meadows were in a highlighted outside, showing youd need to travel to the vast fields to find the flora your quest was telling you to. There would be monsters there, but hopefully there would be enough fighting players so that you could stay safe from them.

I headed over to the fields, giving all the hostiles a wide berth. I have no clue what any of the folwers and plants I'm supposed to be gathering look like. I stop for a moment and pull up my menus, which appear as floating holograms around me, andsearch through them, trying to see if there's some sort of in-game guide or spellbook-type thing.

((What is Helen wearing? Some starter-type clothes or what?))

The people in the crowds around you looked lost, unsure of what to do now that they heard the news. Some of them wandered to the taverns, hoping they had enough to just forget what they heard, while others were having full on breakdowns. You heard bells coming from the church, drawing in some players to see what else was happening.

I hurry to the church, opening my friend list on the way to look for a private messaging system or something like that.
