You look around for a stick, and upon finding none on the ground you break a small branch off the tree and poke a few of the berries carefully. They react in the same way you'd assume any other berries to react. Nothing odd about them, other than their seemingly random appearance.
He noticeably flinches and takes a few steps back bringing his hands instinctively up to his mouth. A sharp deafeningly load whistling noise echos around the trees. Smoke of completely different colours begin to bleed into the orangish-red fog surrounding the man. He stays quiet and still like he's waiting for something.
The woman gives you an odd look before smiling softly. She pushes the coins towards you along with both the two books that you'd just purchased.
"Here you go. If you ever need anything I'll always be here to help, I may know more about your situation than you do..."
She says mumbling the last part. Amie takes her book down from the counter and smiles up at you brightly.
"It'd be soooooo cool meeting someone from Athya!! My sister told me stories about them when I was little, they're like really awesome and powerful!"
She stops for a second, realising that she was rambling on.
"Thank you for buying this book for me Jumping!"

Rosepetal squeaks happily. I nod, smiling. "What is your name, and what were you doing in that tunnel?" I ask curiously. "I'm Mossflight, and from what I know of, that tunnel is, um, kinda dangerous..." I tell her shyly.

Now that the storekeeper offered her help, I would gladly take it. "Amie, would you mind going back to Fae and Marble, please? I want to do one more thing here." Turning back to the woman, I ask in a whisper, "So, you probably already realize I have no idea what I'm doing. What exactly is Athya, and what makes them so 'powerful'?"
You drop the flower back into the grass and continue along the path towards the buildings. Getting closer you can see the blank backs a bunch of buildings and through an ally way, you can see the constant bustle of a busy town.
What will you do?
