Ah, tenses. It makes sense to change them to suit particular pieces. I've done that a few times, though I mostly stick to third-person. It's how I grew up writing.

I'm the opposite, haha. I mostly started writing in first, but gradually shifted to third. I prefer third person in past tense because you don't have to deal with order of events as much. Present tense presents an interesting challenge but future is actually terrible imo.

Yeah. I used first and present tense mostly for prose poetry and flash fiction. It's fine for a while, but I can't imagine writing a whole novel like that. Do people actually use future tense though? I imagine it would be impossible to tell what's actually happening since it ends up sounding speculative.

Ive seen it before in some forum roleplay a while back. Its really strange. It was like [character] will eat the pie. I feel if done right it could be really cool.

OCTOBER CONTEST
October! my favorite month is almost here! Filled with free candy, and me; dressed up as a zombie from the walking dead trying to scare my neighbors' kids with jump-scares. The trick is better than the treat in my opinion.
So let's get to the point; in honor of Halloween and all things spooky, I've made a contest. You can only submit once.
this time we have three themes for a short story, you only have to do one; Trick or Treating, Infected, or Ghost you can do what you will with that, it can be horror, comedy, thriller, whatever. contest entries will not be accepted after October
