You suddenly remember the cat you had as a small child. He had been a small skinny black cat and was more a stray then anything. You remember your parents finding you feeding him and then a couple days later you never saw him again.

I frown, feeling sad. Something just seemed a bit off. Like that was so far in the past, or it happened not to long ago. That feeling of uncertainty and unknowing kept gnawing at me
