I go to the mountain. I am cautious of my new and amazing surroundings.

You head towards the mountain and are amazed of the feel of the wind. You had never felt anything like this. It whipped around you and blew your hair in every-which way. The mountains are capped in white and you wonder if it is the "snow" you had heard of in the tales you were told during childhood. Too your right you see a small movement but checking it out would bring you a ways out of your way from the mountain.

I will check out the movement. I wish to see these surface creatures that have gone unseen for so long.

You creep towards what ever the creature is and when you get close it appears out of the bushes and glares at you, but shows no sign of attacking. It sits down and waits, looking at you too see what you do. Obviously confused having never seen a human before in it's life. It resembled a small wolf you had seen at the zoo but it had wings and scales.

I sit down and cross my legs. I just sit there and cock my head at it as if to inspect it without aggravating it. I have no food to offer it, so I just snap my fingers to try to draw it closer to me.

It creeps towards you and sniffs your hand, licking it. It appears too like you and settles against your side letting out a small 'yap'. The wolf creature, a male you realize, looks at you, deep amber eyes burning into you. "A name" they seemed too say "I need a name"

I look at it in the eyes and say, "I'll call you Griff!"

He gives a happy bark and spins around, seeming pleased. The creature pulls you towards and appears too want you too continue on your way too the mountain.

I continue hiking towards the mountain with Griff by my side.
