After some time of discussion, suspicious arguing, and the occasional interjection, the mayor cleared her throat, catching the attention of all in the room.
"It seems that the conclusion made by majority of people here is that we do not yet have enough information to come to a decision on the identity of the murderer, although many accusations have been made. Therefore, we will not be punishing anyone for the murder of Strawberry-- at least not today. If the incidents continue, however, we must continue to put forth our best efforts to root out the criminals among us, and put a stop to their actions before they overwhelm us."
There was an extremely awkward silence left in the wake of the sudden announcement, even though most of the room agreed with this decision. The mayor, seemingly oblivious to the tension in the room, leapt off the podium she'd been standing up after making one final remark.
"Meeting adjourned."
With that abrupt and unsatisfactory ending to the trial, the residents of Sylestivale trickled out of the room amidst some forced chatter, although most continued to be silent. The missing presence of one specific Bulbori now weighed much more heavily on most of their shoulders, some wondering if they would be the next victim, others more determined than ever to prevent further misdeeds.
And, of course, some silently reveled in the success of their plan, already searching for their next victim.
No players eliminated this phase.
Night Phase 2 has begun!
There will be no in-game talking between anyone during this time, with the exception of the Mafia, who may talk amongst themselves via PM.
You may write your character going home or something for one post if you so wish, but that's about it.
- Mafia may discuss and decide on one person to eliminate during this time. (If you are a Mafia, please try not to leave anyone out in the decision. Oh, and I want to hear your plotting if you're willing to include me xD)
- Everyone else with a special role may also DM me the person they wish to act upon during this time. (If you're a Medic or Role Blocker, don't forget your cooldowns for acting upon the same person!)
- All other Villagers must sit tight and hope they don't die.
- This phase may last up to 48 hours in real time. If all people with special roles DM me with their action or specifically tell me that they wish to opt out of acting before the 48 hours are up, the phase will end early.
- If you have a special role and do not DM me within the 48 hours, you will be skipped.
(Also, I've just realized I've been posting the phase ending times in my timezone, not Sylestia's. Sorry, that should be fixed!)

Echo waltzed out of the courtroom with Purfolium and Niki.
"I can't tell the two of you everything right now because of the late hour, but I'll be sending you a note tomorrow morning with an explanation"
With that, Echo turned towards the nearest part of the woods. She stalked towards them and dissolved as soon as she reached the treeline.

(Phase end early; everyone with a special role acted)
The next morning, no later than the previous one, the village bell's clear notes rang through the town and into the forest. This time, none needed to follow their ears-- they all walked, as if they already knew the route by heart, straight to the courthouse. There wasn't a doubt in anyone's minds that the murderer or murderers had struck again, but they all wondered who had been the unlucky victim this time around.
As expected, the mayor was already waiting for them behind the podium, looking even more grave than yesterday, if that were even possible.
"Citizens of Sylestivale, it seems that we are now facing the consequences of our past indecision.
It appears that the same culprits responsible for Strawberry's death refuse to relent in their nefarious actions, and have instead claimed another victim: the young Jackie Johnson.
According to an account by the deceased's siblings, Jackie had been hard at work harvesting apples from their family orchard when an unknown, hidden force from the bushes violently shook the tree Jackie was standing under.
Initially, the Johnsons were confused but relieved, as the tree did not fall, but their relief soon turned to horror when out of nowhere, what seemed like thousands of apples suddenly poured down from the tree at once, crushing Jackie.
Clearly, there is now no better option for our well-being than to continue the trial we began yesterday. Once again, I urge anyone with even the slightest bit of information to now come forth and share your suspicions so that we may root out the criminal at once."
Day Phase 2 has begun!
In-game discussion may occur publicly on this thread (and only this thread) during this time.
- Anyone is welcome to speak or say anything in-game at any time during this phase (you don't need to follow a strict format or anything), however, this discussion has one main intention: to decide on and vote out a suspect.
- At any time, you may decide to officially vote or nominate someone by saying anything along the lines of "I decide to vote for/nominate ___" in bold on the thread, or through a DM to me. Keep in mind that there is a difference between simply accusing someone and actually voting/nominating them. Only vote/nominate someone if you have firmly decided that you want them out!
If you find yourself being nominated, it's usually in your best interest to try and defend yourself however you want, though people may still vote for you anyways.
You do not have to give a reason for nominating/voting for someone, though it may help your case.
(A nomination is simply the first public accusation of someone, voting is basically just "hopping on board" of the nomination. There's not some important difference between them, it just makes the trial clearer.)
- You may also opt out of voting entirely by saying "I decide not to vote at all" in bold.
- Use the pinglist only if you are nominating someone or have another announcement you think everyone should know. If you're replying to someone, e.g. defending yourself against a nomination or agreeing with someone, please only ping those involved. Make sure you ping me if you decide to vote publicly.
- You may decide to change your vote at any time (but try not to do it too much for my sake). Again, your vote may be cast publicly (declaring on the thread) or in a private DM to me.
- In order to eliminate someone through voting, they must have a majority of all votes and at least 3 votes by the end of the phase. If the majority of voters specifically wish to opt out or no one has more than 2 votes, no one gets eliminated.
-This phase may last up to 48 hours in real time. If all people DM/ping me with their vote/nomination or specifically tell me that they wish to opt out of voting before the 48 hours are up, the phase will end early.
- If you do not vote within the time limit, you will be skipped. Failing to act within the time limit is not the same as an opt-out in this situation-- it does not count for or against any side, it is ignored entirely.
- Roleplaying and random discussions are encouraged, this is just the loose format to follow as you do so.
- Don't forget to ping me if you post your vote on the thread!
(Oh, and if you are dead, you cannot vote! Though I guess you can still say stuff out-of-game.)
(Fennimage, for this phase, you can roleplay as one of Jackie's siblings if you want :) )

Niki storms into the clearing. She had slept soundly through the last night, and was disappointed in herself for not finding any more information.

Again, Flameswirl came in half asleep. This time with a large mugof tea and random papers in hand- apparantly she got a bit too inspired by the murders.

Echo slid a note over to her, and sat down to think.
"Well, this murder was the craftiest yet. I mean, it was done in full view of like...uh...many family members." She scrunched her nose."I'm not even sure how many siblings Jackie had."
Echo turned toward Niki placing a paw over hers for reassurance. "It's not all lost though. We know that whoever did this had to be strong and blend into the greenery of the orchard."

Unlike the previous day, Snekly had no appearance of being awake. Rather, this morning she seemed groggy, as if she had slept well.
"I did not get much sleep last night," Snekly said, oblivious to how she looked. She rubbed her eyes with a tired paw. "It sounded like a million horses on my roof last night, constantly pounding." She then noticed Echo and Niki comforting each other. "What happened? Was another Sylesti killed?!"

Echo nodded. "Yeah, Jackie was killed last night. By a shower of apples, can you believe it?"
She looked at the floor, heartbroken. "Imagine being killed by something you were so close to..."
"Speaking of close, what do you think happened to your roof?"

"Mmm, I'm a tad too tired t' remember, but who was the one that worked at the apple fields 'gain besides Jackie?"
