So Quruxus was a Siren. That explained...absolutely nothing really. Camilla had never even heard of Sirens except for one very vague memory of someone mentioning that they were beautiful, which was helpful information right now. Camilla reached up and absently played with her hair while she watched Quruxus take another bite of jaguar.
"I see," she said politely, since one was supposed to say something, and pondered her words. At least until the all important question was posed. Camilla could feel her ashen face flush right up to the subtle pointed tips of her ears. Despite having left her home, left the family that oppressed her, her lineage was still something she felt she was meant to be ashamed of. Still, it was impolite to lie.
"Well," she started, not looking directly at the Siren, "I'm sort of...different. My mother is human but my father is an elf. My family made me feel like this was a very bad thing, and so I also grew up thinking that I was broken I suppose. Now, however, I'm wondering if they were wrong."

Quruxus shook her head lightly. "No, no, there's nothing wrong with being broken," she told you strongly, assertively. "I'm a broken Siren because I don't eat human but I still eat meat. You're a broken human because you say you're part elf - those are the pointy-ear people, right? - but you still act human. Being called broken is a compliment because it means that you're different. You're your own person, so you get to act how you want, since you're already a broken version of their kind. You don't have to act how anyone else wants you to."

(Lol I didnt know, thanks)
Ochyllyss nodded. "Alright, I'll be heading to the meadow tomorrow to look for Gaemon...in which direction do we go to there from this village?" She asked the boy, who seemed to be engaged with pebbles more than the conversation.

d) Approach the tree-measuring woman
Merchants look to make money, not give it away. Titus thought the woman measuring trees looked like a far more likely candidate for purveyor of odd jobs and approached her cautiously.

The boy made a face, and then took a step back. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm waiting for my dad," he stated decisively. "But the grassland is all around Destinmane. I don't know what direction the bat went in, so you should probably just wander around," he suggested.
What do you wish to do?
a) Keep talking to the boy
b) Look around the town again
c) Leave the town
d) Attack the boy
e) Kill the boy
f) Pickpocket the boy

You approach the woman, who, upon closer inspection, looked to be a Stone Elf. She was muttering about something as she wrapped a measuring tape around the middle of the tree she was nearby. She then proceeded to scribble something on a piece of parchment. When she noticed you come near, she scowled distastefully. "Want something, traveler?" she asked in annoyance.

Naesala smiled as she stood, leaning a little weight on her foot. *Well, it still hurts quite a bit, but its support. Ill be able to walk for a bit.* She looked up at Eprin. *You said something about merchants who could sell me supplies to fix my outfit? Im going out to do that, but Ill probably be back and rent a room, at least for the night.* She grabbed her bag and weapons and hobbled towards the door, giving her farewell to Eprin.

She certainly was a very odd being, Camilla's new Siren friend. Strangely enough, though, she found herself very relaxed in Qur's presence, despite the fact that she was taking bites out of a dead jaguar. This was the sort of thing Camilla would have thought would bother her because of her sheltered childhood, but she was discovering that she was made of sterner stuff than she thought.
"I suppose thats not a bad way of putting it," she said distractedly, continuing to stare off into the distance, her eyes slightly unfocused as she thought, "And yes, elves are the point-ear people. I guess its just not as easy when people aren't just calling you broken, but making you feel like you're worthless for being so." That was essentially what her entire family believed. Thats why they had all been so willing to sell her to the first man who offered.
"So," she said, shaking her head to clear away such dark thoughts, "Your kind typically eat humans?" Well, that would explain why she had never heard of Sirens before...

Raynii looked around. The streets were not overly filled with people, but not empty. The bright sun was a little uncomfortable for Raynii, but she could manage. She noticed a boy sitting by the fountain, looking a bit nervous. She walked up to the young boy sitting by the fountain.
