"Sounds like a plan," Rin agrees. He stands up, talking a little with Felix to find out the direction to Shiawase.
Of course it does, that was the point, Itami mutters as he follows behind you.
As you walk, you can feel Itami's eyes on you - but what's strange about it is that it doesn't feel. . .heavy. It simply is the creeping feeling of being watched.

Chaos hums quietly to themselves, slightly bored. Nothing is happening, so everything is stopped.

Within a couple of minutes and a couple of mistakes on Rin's part, they come across the sleeping body of Shiawase. "Um..... there she is," Rin says, shrugging.

Yeah. I wonder if she's comfortable enough, Itami grumbles. Shiawase should've known that we don't have time for a casual nap.
Walking past you to the tree, he lightly nudges her, but she doesn't wake. Well, she must've been pretty tired to not be waking up at a tap, Itami says, poking her. I wonder if the other Hitari leeched off her. . .but that seems pretty unlikely. He'd just kill her. She recovers pretty fast from a simple drain.

Oh, how bland, Chaos says, shifting their existence in the plane of reality. I cannot leave; even if the situation was different. Spiritual bindings, you are quite a hassle. Reality is the escape, yet it would also mean the end.

Rin frowns. "Unless.... no, I'm just paranoid. She was probably just.... exhausted..... and fell asleep. That's gotta be it."

Who knows, Itami says, sounding a little irritated. She probably likes sleeping now that she knows how it works.
He sighs. But we should probably bring her somewhere more suitable just in case, and the house is just the place, as it's the only building nearby.

Hitari snaps awake and shifts to get more comfortable. ". . .thanks."
It is of no terrible consequence, but if you intend to go forever, I suggest returning to your pace, Chaos replies. One or the other will catch you to their own reward.
"I'll be taking those thanks back now," Hitari grumbles. "Why must you always speak in riddles?"

"Right," Rin says decisively. "So, uh, do we.... lift her? And just, uh, carry her to the house?"

Uh. . . Itami stammers, sounding a little awkward. How about neither of us carry her directly? I'll. . .just. . . The shadows around Shiawase darken, like living bits of smoky darkness. It forms a kind of cradle, holding her about a foot above the ground. That'd be a little difficult, not to mention awkward, to carry her all the way there. Even though it's not that far, the point stands.

Why must you speak plainly? I would assume you can answer your own question yourself.
"Balance. Yippee," Hitari says with heavy sarcasm. "I could really care less. I'd rather flip a coin and have it land on the edge. It's more fun, you know."
Now who speaks in puzzling tongue? Chaos asks with a bit of a mocking tone. Nevertheless, I understand your meaning. The cosmically unlikely event of you - him - being here is indeed like an unforeseen, unnatural occurrence. But revelry in this can only lead to falling.
"Falling," Hitari mutters. "You and him both like using that word in reference to the world."

"That's what I was thinking," He finishes, laughing nervously. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," He shrugs and hesitantly takes the other end of the cradle.

Glad we can agree, Itami says as he starts to walk. As long as we carry it like this, she won't fall out. Otherwise it'd probably tip. He shifts his hand under the lip of the cradle, refining his grip. The texture of the basket doesn't seem to bother him (he did make it, after all), but it gives you a cold feeling.
The shadows it's woven of swirl where you touch it, like a weak magnet that had been placed in the freezer for too long. Fun.

Like angels and demons of other worlds' tales, we do fall, Chaos says. Well, I correct myself. You fall. I exist across too many planes for a death in one to impact the rest.
"Lucky you."
You do have the same trait, but the difference being. . . They pause to think. . . .the difference being that all versions of yourself are unique. I am a constant; you and the rest are not.
