Rin looks down at Hitari with anger and a little bit of betrayal. He hates to say it, but this time he sides with Itami.
Shiawase glares at Itami. "I thought you were going to do nothing?"
Oh, my bad, Itami replies sharply. Sorry for not being super friendly and bounding to help you.
Shiawase just shakes her head and turns back to Hitari. "Unpleasant memories," she says. "We all have those now, thanks to you. . ."
Hitari tries reaching his pocket again, but fails once more. ". . .none of this. . .was intended to happen."

Yeah, and I didn't intend to come here either, Rin thinks angrily. But APPARENTLY I screwed up some big cosmic balance and you-from-another-dimension is trying to KILL ME. Some excuse you got there, Hitari!

It all seemed rather. . .intended. . .if you ask me, Itami says. What with that thing you drove in the ground in all. That doesn't appear to be accidental.
Itami, no one asked, Shiawase thinks. "Look, I. . .I dislike agreeing with Itami, and try to not do so, but. . .it does seem that there was no restraint," she says. Shiawase looks at his face with a sad expression. "The Hitari I know would have tried."
I was trying! Hitari screams in his head. Stop thinking of me so highly! He sighs, and says nothing.
Nothing to say, hm? Itami asks. Silence is a confirmation, you know.

Rin nods gravely. "T-that was no accident," He agrees.

Hitari mutters something too quiet for anyone to hear.
"Please speak up," Shiawase says, trying to maintain a kind tone. "It's hard to hear when you mumble. . ."
"I said this is ridiculous," Hitari repeats, sounding bitter. "At this point it would feel better for it all to be gone. You know my past more than most, and yet you still don't know why this is. . ." His voice trails off as he searches for words. ". . .why this might be too much."
Oh no, Itami says, sarcasm practically dripping from his voice. You were branded as different as a child and now being tied up brings memories of that. He shakes his head. You all remind me of plenty of bad things, but you don't see me pattering about it.

Rin doesn't have much sympathy for Hitari, but at the same time he feels..... conflicted about the broken man. It's..... confusing. Strange. He doesn't like it.

Well, if I have to kill someone, I know who's first, Hitari thinks to himself. Why have I put up with this guy for so long? He stopped deserving the ground he walks on long ago. He blinks, surprised at himself.
Shiawase sits, facing Hitari. "Hitari. Look at me."
Slowly, he drags his gaze to meet hers. ". . .why."
She sighs and gets back up. "Your eyes are still the same." Leaning down, she picks up the cut rope. "The rest of us are going to have to talk, I think. . ."
Hitari tries to shuffle away, but he's still tied to the tree with his limbs bound. "No, don't bind me again, that'd. . .that'd be pointless - "
Not to me, it'd mean I don't have to hear you whine, Itami mutters.
"Yep, you're going first," Hitari growls under his breath. "Dastard."
Shiawase quickly puts the rope back around-and-over Hitari's mouth and turns to you two. "How about we go back into the cave?"
