After a few seconds, the world begins to flicker and you find yourself back in the forest, still holding the bone fragment. It seems way too cheerful after what just happened.

No... It doesn't seem like there are any Avia here. Maybe it was a hiding spot, long ago, but it hasn't had life in centuries as far as I can tell.
There's a sharp ringing sound and you jump, but all that seems to have happened are the walls have lit up with blue floating fire. No torches, just floating globs of blue flame every few meters. It doesn't feel hot from where you're standing.

The sky flashes blood red for a second and you hear a shrill screeching noise from above. Then it all goes back to normal, with nothing out of the ordinary other than your ears still ringing.

I sit up and look around for where the sound came from. Lowering my goggles over my eyes, I sit perfectly still, trying to be aware of my surroundings to figure out what the a c t u a l h e c c just happened....
