When she's finished, she stands up and you notice that she didn't complete the circle. There's about wo feet of empty space the length of a rune. Rea gestures for you to step inside.
However, when you attempt to walk straight through the circle, you smack straight into an invisible barrier. She shakes her head and points to the blank spot.
I laugh at myself a little and walk through the blank spot

If cats can frown, the cat certainly does. "My name is Eira, not 'your cat'," it says in a female sounding voice, "and yes, you seem friendly enough so you may pet me as long as you don't pull my tail." Judging by the tone of her voice, this has happened before and she's not happy about it.
"A familiar!" I say, delighted. "Please excuse my rudeness Eira, it's an honor to meet you." I stroke her flank softly, almost reverent at my first encounter with a magical familiar.

Rea shouts, "Complete the circle!" At first you can't tell why she needs to shout, but then you realize there's a sort of humming in the air that is growing louder. However, it seems to level out as if waiting for something. Rea writes something that looks like an infinity sign in the air and gestures for you to draw it in the circle with your wand.

I stand up suddenly, flushing as I remember their is someone I'm supposed to be talking to. "I'm so sorry... not that it wasn't an honor to meet you Eira..." I try to pull myself together, closing my eyes in embarrassment before straightening and starting over. "It's been wonderful to meet you both. I'm new and not sure where to go?"
