Winter stood there shocked. "What--How--Who--Dares--Death upon me?" He sputtered as the room became suddenly sharper and more detailed he remembered his father's words clearly. Kin of your kin, a child will rise and death be-woe upon us all... He shuddered and calmed himself down by blocking all his thoughts from his head and contorted his face to look regal and imposing...

Frostbite yelled a long high pitched note that sent the siblings charging behind him as he charged out the palace, sweeping Atlas into the stampede of servants, maids, siblings, and butlers. The Lord could be heard despairing trying to escape the palace hissing with fury as the palace lit on fire. Flames licked at the windows and doors casting an eerie blue light on the surviving crowd.

"Atlas?" Frostbite tilted his head and sat by her, his ice blue tail twitching. "What are you looking at. Hello?"

Frostbite shivered, his blood curdled as if someone was pumping liquid ice into his blood. "That, is just...plain....creepy...and morbid on so many levels."

Cold. Just the biting cold and screaming winds. Lucas was already chilled to the bone, but he continued to press on through ankle deep snow. The lupora had to find them....find his family. The young canine had been separated from his sister Laika and half-brother, Jason. Being the youngest, Lucas relied heavily upon their support. Without them he was vulnerable.

Lucas couldn't remember how many days he had traveled- maybe just a few or maybe a month. He was hungry, he was thirsty and his muscles shrieked in pain with every step. The wind howling around his ears, now flattened against his skull, wasn't helping his miserable situation either. Suddenly the lupora noticed a strange blue light just over a hill. His ears perked and swiveled forward as he found a new burst of energy. He trotted forward until he stood atop the snowy hill and saw what seemed to be a palace in the near distance....a palace alight with odd blue flames.

Lucas swallowed nervously, noticing chaos among those fleeing the building. What started the fire? Where there sylestis still trapped inside? The young lupora shifted uneasily, torn between running to their aid or continuing the search for his siblings. Soon, his helpful side won and he bounded towards the palace, tail streaming behind him. He could help! And perhaps someone here had seen his sister and brother...
