Rustet shivered, sleet and snow pelted against his rust colored fur. He threw up his wings to block a flurry of hail from hitting his snout, a sharp piece of ice cut through the membrane. He howled in pain as bright red drops dripped from his wing and shoulder, where an icicle stood impaled into the flesh.

Atlas was tired and had been walking for days, maybe weeks. She knew she was lost

Atlas had collapsed from exhaustion.
Her sight had gone blurry, she saw a figure in the distance as she passed out

Cursing and bleeding, Rustet pulled the jagged icicle out of his shoulder. He heard a thunk not very far from his position. Wearily with ears laid back he trudged through the blizzard and came across a vulnyx, who had collapsed in exhaustion. Now worried he slung the bag he was carrying his food and water rations in onto the ground. With a bit of effort he managed to prop the vulnyx up on a frozen rock and trickle some water into her mouth, and little hunks of freeze dried food.

Rustet had his worried snout inches from Atlas's face. "Good your awake." He said matter-of-factly.

The lupora sighed. "Yes, yes you did." He was in a sitting position, half-dried blood streaked across his rusty fur. A nasty cut was sliced through his wing and shoulder and the snow around him was slightly tainted. With a sigh he started a fire with some dried dead grass and skewered a bit of unidentifiable meat with a stick and set it over the fire. "Your lucky I was near by or you would've been tundra lunch."

"Alright." The rust colored lupora said getting up and limping over to were Atlas was near the frozen rock that sheltered them from the wind. His wings trembled and with each step he winced.
