Hi Krin,

I think the fairest, specially for those who are competing is for us to see the current score. It is the main purpose of a leaderboard. It's like clouding us what's really going on in the leaderboard. Soon when the contest is over, I bet a lot of players who are competing will feel unsatisfied and disappointed. And a lot of unsatisfied players who worked and played hard for this contest may question how did the 1st placer achieved his/her score. If we see the current progression of the scores, it will not be questionable hoe the 1st placer won. If ever we lose, it will be acceptable because we saw how the 1st placer progressed. This way, everything is fair.

You said your purpose is to encourage players to keep on playing. On the contrary, this discourages us more coz we may come to a point where we might think, we keep playing and playing hard and we don't even know what's going on in the leaderboard. It's disappointing. It really encourage us to keep on playing when we see the current scores coz the ones with the higher scores motivate us to play more and gain more scores.

Weighing whether to hide the current scores to encourage players or be fair to everyone... Hiding us the current scores is hideous. I just have to voice it out for everyone else.

And thanks for this wonderful game btw. It's very challenging! :)

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the suggestion.

What's shown when you view the Leaderboard is the up to date Leaderboard of the scores that count towards the Leaderboard. I'm not understanding what you're wanting displayed instead?

'Scuse me. I was going to be in a Ranked game, and an opponent had been found. I set up my pieces, did the Boosts I was going to do, and clicked to begin the game. I got a message that the game would begin once my opponent was done with placement. I waited, but then I got a message that the game ended because one participant (presumably my opponent) didn't finish the placement round.

So--did I lose those Booster Cards that I had deployed?

I think you are trying to say that the leaderboard should display the actual scores for everyone instead of their highest achieved ones.

You bring up a good point about fairness, but I think that displaying current scores (as you suggested) would be actually less fair to the players because we may stop playing in fear of losing points and in ranking. Also it would be unfair for someone who originally had a high score, then lost few games and lost points, and thus went down in their placing on leaderboard. In all other leaderboards, we get ranked by our achievements, and not our losses or mistakes. So if we start getting ranked by our defeats and mistakes, a lot of players will feel strongly frustrated.

I also dont think there is anything "clouding" with the current leaderboard nor why anyone should question how the 1st placer achieved their score.

As someone who's friends with most of the players currently ranked on leaderboard, the only thing we feel unsatisfied and disappointed with is why the AI must use so many boosts and cause us agony xD

The need to collect boosters is part of the challenge.

I see how the new A1 leaderboard works now. I thought Krin froze everyone else's scores except own own. But it only shows the highest achieved scores. It still updates new score one the player gained a higher score. It's ok if it won't slip down. We can still see the highest scores so we'll still know what score we should surpass to gain a level. Sorry, my bad -_-

Is it fair to skip your turn and lose 1 life per guy, if the only guy you have without cool down is a tower with no enemies in range? You can do nothing, but you have to lose a life.

Actually I can answer this one Luxa, towers don't ever lose health from skipping turns. The only pieces that lose health are move-able pieces. So if everything besides the towers are in cooldown, none of them will get hurt.
In fact, lets say you have a infantry that can move, but you skip your turn. The infantry will get hurt because he could have moved, but the towers still won't because they can't ever move, and are exempt from skipping damage and even frostbite.
