Rin cleverly responds with, "What's the first thing you said to me when I walked into your house?" (it's a trick question, Hitari 1 doesn't remember and wouldn't be able to answer.)

Hitari stares at you. "When I said something only I would know, I meant something only I would know," he says. "I simply asked who are you are and why you're at my door, of course."
Okay, seriously Rin, that really was an obvious question. . .both of them would probably answer the same if some random kid knocked on their door, Itami says. Would you like to try again?
Shiawase silently looks at you, a questioning aura in her gaze.

"Can't say I didn't try," Rin says heatedly. "Because of course, I know Hitari SO WELL and we shared SO MUCH with one another."

Hitari narrows his eyes at your sarcasm. What are you getting at, kid? He shakes his head and shrugs. "Oh, you know me," he says, returning your attitude. "Making myself vulnerable through sharing everything about myself!"
Both you act weird when you're nervous, Itami mutters. Just. . .don't.
Hitari glares at Itami, who promptly becomes much more quiet.
Shiawase appears to be thinking. . .who knows what about. Let's be honest, though, it probably has to do with Hitari.

Rin bites his tongue, but stubbornly remains silent.
Rin bites his tongue, but stubbornly remains silent.
Shiawase says something too quiet for anyone to make out.
Hitari turns to her, not even wincing as one of his ribs audibly shifts. "I assume you thought of a question to ask, Shiawase. But you'll have to speak up."
He called her Shiawase, Itami hisses under his breath to you. Hitari never does that, they're too lovey-dovey for their full names -
"I said, how long?" Shiawase says, making direct eye contact with Hitari.
". . .you're going to be more specific," he replies. "How long until the world ends? How long since it began? It could be anything."
. . .and there it is, all the evidence Shiawase needs.

Rin swallows hard. This isn't the right Hitari- I knew it.

"Tell me what took approximately forty-one years, seven months, three days, nine hours, and sixteen minutes," Shiawase demands. "Tell me what took so long."
"That's. . .yeah, that's pretty specific," Hitari mutters. "Are you sure you didn't just come up with those figures on a whim? That's something you usually do."
Shiawase takes two, three, four steps back. "You're. . .you're not him. Even if Hitari forgot, I know he would get the right answer." Seemingly out of nowhere, a bright sphere of light is suddenly in her palm. "Who. . .are you?"
Hitari stands and crosses his arms. "I'm starting to get tired of that question. It's all everyone asks me - it gets a little bland. So, let me ask something - "
In less than a blink of the eye, he's behind Shiawase, some kind of dark residue wafting from him as he smiles. "How would everyone here like to die?" He raises his hand, a solid piece of nothingness taking form, looking much like a broken, twisted piece of rock. "Not that it matters."
There's a blinding dash of lights, tracing from Hitari to behind you - it must've been Shiawase moving incredibly fast, since she's now panting and trembling just a foot or two away from your back.
Hitari looks surprised as he lifts his weapon. "Well. Finally, a similarity between worlds." He grins. "My Shiawase is fast and reflexive too. But, you know. . .faster. You've got a bit of a cut there."
Shiawase wobbles a little, but doesn't fall. A few drops of blood drip from the tear on her shoulder - pure white liquid that stains the grass like bleach. ". . .no one. . .asked you to stay, whoever-you-are."

Rin barely has time to react, his hand and eyes flaring orange as he begins to breathe harder. Oh my god, I'm going to die. This guy is FAST.

(zoomin')
"I technically didn't lie when I said I am Hitari," he says, lazily spinning the fragment around his hand. "Everything connects across its alternate versions, particularly Chaos. But, you know, I was never aware of this. . .anomaly." Hitari gestures to himself, disgusted. "I mean, come on. Not even a decent fashion sense. How was he supposed to go around like this?"
What does fashion have to do with anything? Itami mumbles. If the alternate versions of me aren't spirits, how does that even. . .?
"And that's not the only issue, here - " Hitari jabs a finger at you. "Who the hell is that? I've been across dozens upon dozens of alternates, but that's one face I've never seen." He glances at your blazing hand and eyes. ". . .and some power I've never seen, either, it would seem."
Shiawase makes a very quiet whimper sound - it doesn't sound like fear, more like pain. Getting cut by that. . .that thing. . .probably hurt.
