From the house, you can barely hear Shiawase murmuring something to Kanashimi - she's probably trying to comfort him while getting a few answers.

Rin opens his mouth as if to protest, but shuts it just as fast. Itami nailed it on the head XD

Itami raps his fingers on the wall of the house. You knew Kanashimi was going to do that, weren't you? My only intention was to extract information. He tilts his head. Well, that's a lie. I would've wanted to have a bit of fun, but. . .oh well.

Shiawase pokes her head out of the missing wall, mouth open like she's going to say something, but she closes it when she sees you two talking. ". . .am I interrupting?" She shoots a side glance at you - not an angry one, more like a "scream-if-you-really-need-help" glance.

Rin glances at Shiawase and moves his head ever so slightly- it could be interpreted as a nod, or just a slight shift in posture. (Sneaky Rin.)

Shiawase clears her throat. "Rin, why don't you come in and help keep Kanashimi calm? And Hitari, I suppose. They're. . .both panicking a little."

Awh, why not me? Itami asks, pretending to sound hurt. I can he_ee_ee_ee_ee_eelp.

"No, you really can't," Shiawase says. "Besides, there's. . .something about this house that I think you know - you won't be able to enter anyway."

One thing I never understood, Itami mutters under his breath. Fine, go. I'll just stand here menacingly.

Rin gratefully skitters into the house after Shiawase. She isn't any less dangerous than Itami, he knows, just a different kind of dangerous.

"Be careful around Itami," Shiawase says, turning to you. "The more you talk, the more he knows. The more he knows, the more danger you're going to be in."

She turns her eyes to Kanashimi, who is sitting in a chair, chin resting on their chest - he's sleeping.

"I. . .wasn't lying when I said they were both panicking," Shiawase says. "Kanashimi. . .I'm sure you noticed how little experience he has in this area. Meanwhile, Hitari. . .if Itami's done this to him on numerous occasions, I can't imagine how he feels."

Sure is nice out here, Itami calls in. Yep, sure is nice. Sure wish I could know what you're doing in there.

". . .I don't think he can really see or hear what happens in here. . .for some reason."

Rin squints at her a little. "Really.... that's odd. If I didn't know any better, I'd say...."

Shiawase shrugs. "I'm just guessing. If Itami could be in here, I'm sure he would be."

Kanashimi coughs a little and rouses themselves from sleep. "_Mmmmmmmnh. . ._it. . ._{still hurts}," they say, almost too quiet for you to hear.

"Oh - Kanashimi? Hitari? Whomever's. . ." Shiawase flails for words, then looks at you. "They've, uh. . .been. . . flip-flopping back and forth a bit. If that makes sense. . ."

"Makes sense," Rin says tenatively. But that doesn't make it any less weird, he thinks.
