(And I'm done)
(Also tell me if alester's part time spirit thing is a little oof, it makes sense with his power -- or if I need to fix anything)
Name
Astrana (Astra)
Age
19
Species
Huelf
Aliases/Titles
(Sigh, why can't I think of titles)
Alignment
She doesn't like focusing on big heroic quest unless someone else tells her to go help them on it. She prefers to stay in the background, noticing smaller details others wouldn't and helping out in the small places she can. She doesn't like picking a side of a war and such like that because she believes that there are people on both sides who deserve saving.
Personality
She prefers to lurk in the shadows and observe small details. She doesn't try to be funny when she is, shes just brutally honest and says what she thinks not what someone wants her to say. She also values her friends and anyone else she trusts well-beings, accomplishments, and loves over her own. She is very forgetful, so if you told her something a while ago, you have to jumpstart her memory especially if she wasn't paying attention to it. She has a quick temper, but it dies away easily and she can never remember enough to hold a grudge. She lacks self-confidence and tends to shy away from unfamiliar situations, or at least see someone else do it first. She doesn't think she's book smart or even got with common sense, but she has a quick wit. She hates the spotlight and flattery and attention she doesn't deal with really well. Usually, her head is filled in her own imagination and ideas, so if you don't make sure you get her attention before you start talking, she will interpret it wrong.
When she first meets people, she likes to observe how they act in different environments before she will openly talk to someone. She hates being touched unless its by someone she trusts. The fastest way to earn her trust is to save her friends lives or to be one of their friends.
She enjoys storytelling and martial arts. She enjoys storytelling as she is sharing someone elses story and she is just the messenger not the hero. She enjoys martial arts as it lets her use her speed and flexibility to help others. She isnt the best as martial arts as she is terribly clumsy. When she fights she enjoys talking to the person she is fighting as saying words distracts the opponent, but helps her concentrate.
Astrana has more to her than meets the eye. While she normally is bashful, her friends can bring out a confident side in her. In some ways, she is like her animal friends. Playful but reserved, but can turn into a ferocious competitor. Astrana is also competitive by nature and even though her bashfulness can keep her from announcing it to the world, she perseveres and does her best to win. She enjoys tinkering as she can do that in the background and doing things with carving and working on new weaponry to help her to do something with her nervous energy and creativity.
Backstory (ahh this is a fantasy one...oof)
Astra was born during the few times the worlds of Avis and the Earth collided. Therefore since she wasn't a full elf, her powers appeared slower and with more drawbacks. Since she had an affinity with light and was born when neither of the planets were rooted completely to their orbit pattern her powers came with the drawback of whenever she uses them, she becomes more light and less rooted to her human form.
When she was growing up, she heard stories of other places that could be accessed through traveling through the temporary worm holes created by conflicted planetary motion (I could go into more science and ellipses but I'll spare you my math and science). She'd always felt intrigued by the idea of other worlds, especially because of the fact that she never felt comfortable in her own since she was flashy and a fan of extravagant tastes.
However one day when she was 5, a worm hole was created which led to the invasion of darker species who wanted to conquer the place due to the abundance of wealth found in the area. Her dad fled with her into the human world, but her mother insisted on staying and defending the world. However due to the time differences between the worlds (since they move at different speeds) when her dad entered the human world he aged 80 years (and you know died of old age).
Since then she's roamed throughout the Earth as well as through other worm holes she has discovered and helped out wherever she could.
Appearance
Dude I just realized I had this picture (this was little astra with powers and in the elf world)
(And here's the one I usually use)
Likes
She enjoys reading, story telling, and martial arts. She also enjoys helping people in small ways and learning new skills
Fears
She's afraid of snakes, like show her a picture of it and she'll be fine, but one in real life, you better get it away
Abilities
The only ability she has that doesn't influence how rooted to the ground she is is that she can sense the creation of worm holes and she's not effected by the time gaps since she was born during a worm hole cycle.
now comes my short (who knows if it's short) description of Astra's powers, every time she uses these it requires a lot of energy and also makes her turn more into light (but they're at different levels) - it's basically all under the ability of 'manipulating light waves'
+ Well her passive one is that she can use her light waves to sense different people and their strong emotions (think about it like an aura) -- it's basically just so she isn't completely blind
+ light leaping, if she can imagine where she wants to head, there's a chance she can create like a light tunnel that basically lets her teleport to the area or person -- this one usually increases her to risk turning into light because to light leap you temporarily become light so she only uses it in extreme circumstances
+ She can manipulate light to create illusions, but whenever you're blind, it's kinda hard (this one causes her to get slightly dizzy)
+ And the one that's probably the most helpful is if she touches someone she can see ailments (like headaches or injuries) but she can't heal them. The draw backs she receives from this is because she's blind the way she senses them, is she feels them (so like if someone had a cold, she would feel symptoms of it and stuff)
Current Ambitions
Also she's currently in the process of trying to model how the different planets overlap and trying to calculate the time difference
Other
For someone reason I've developed her fantasy side a lot more
Note, the entire worm hole thing won't influence anything in the story line because they so rarely appear.
By the way fantasy Astra is blind.
Most people dont realize that shes around as she mostly stays in the backgrounds, by the time they do, she is usually gone. The people from her original planet despise her as she is not all elf while th epeople in other populations are indifferent to her. The ones she help remember her, but the other ones usually forget about her appearance
Her view on most people is that most of them are too confusing and strange to lay out. She much rather focus on individual details she can control to her own will such as making weapons rather than on people whose decisions and ideas change on a whim. However she tries her best to help people when they seem like they are in need, no matter how big of a jerk they had been to her before.

Name
Alastor Norland
Age
18 to 23 (because he's a ghost and the planet revolves around a totally different time frame
Species
He's part of my human/spirit collection (random side note, almon was originally part of that collection, but I didn't make him strange enough so I shoved him with my huelfs
He can't control whenever he becomes a spirit, he is normally seen as a regular human with magical abilities, however his trigger to become a spirit is whenever people are on the verge of death or if he recently witnessed death, he turns into a spirit and observes (because spirits can't really do anything else)
Aliases/Titles Spirit of Dead People (Because Lala can make up species, but not titles)
The Terrible Psychopomp
People started calling him that, so occasionally some ignorant kid would be like wow, he's formed from all the spirits of the dead people, I want to be just like him when I grow up
Alignment
Neutral? Chaos? He's a free spirit
I know, hysterical because he's a spirit...anyone...okay I'll stop
By that he does what he thinks is best and doesn't care what others think. While sometimes he'll end up helping he's mostly feared by people even if they don't even know him just because of his affinity for the dead.
Personality
(this dude's personality is a work in progress, so I'll update it as I put him through more situations)
He doesn't have any social skills, unless social skills means talking to dead people. He doesn't understand the concept of jokes and takes everything by the meaning of the words. He's not really open with conversations about himself but he loves to talk about other people and their interest. He stinks at conversations usually because he talks with dead spirits more than he does with alive peeps.
He doesn't usually get angry or involved in arguments as he finds them boring. Why argue with someone when you can just wait for them to die and have a conversation with their dead ghost? where they probably won't argue with you because they are too busy moping about their deaths
However, if you manage to befriend him (which isn't hard once you look past his ghost problems) he's actually quite childish and just wants someone to be friends with him and not just assume he's some predestined villain because of his abilities.
He enjoys the little things as they come because he's used to the concept of death and endings, but has this philosphy that all good things can't last long and that all bad things will last for a long time. He's not afraid of death as he's the type of dude who believes the only certainty of life is death (so Hayden will blow his mind)
Backstory
The planet he comes from is filled with the ghost of dead part time ghosts who spend their days not fully in the spirit world, and haunt children's nightmares. However, alastor was different from most of the ghosts. most of the part time ghosts could control which form they were in, however he could not. He soon found out that he could comprehend the whispers of the dead ghost. Then when his friend died when their mountain was overrun by another the fog people he learned that he could turn into a spirit, but only in places of death. Then when he ended up stuck in the spirit world, he accidentally brought back to life a rabbit that had died admist the war. One day when he some fog person was insulting him, he unknowingly commanded the rabbit to dissembowel the dude, since then hes been terrified of rabbits. Now he walks along the planet alone, finding refuge in places of war (which wasnt hard) and fending only for himself
Likes
Sunshine, heat, turtles (dude has an obsession with turtles)
Dislikes
The dark, getting wet and roses
Fears
He has an irrational fear of bunnies (okay where did that come from xD, of all the animals I picked, I did rabbit... okay there's a reason for it in the backstory but I mean what was I thinking when I made up the backstory)
Abilities
Well he can sometimes turn into a spirit, but his ability is to communicate with spirits and in the rarest occasions bring back a ghost form of them
Okay, get ready for a complicated paragraph I can make in 10 minutes
So whenever he sees someone on the verge of death or he saw them die he turns into a spirit which means he can interact with their dead/dying soul for like last wishes and their most important memories and stuff like that.
If he travels to somewhere someone was buried, he can summon their ghost, but he has a limit to how many he can control (dependent on how horrifying their deaths war)
And his most popular ability (said no one ever) is if he feels a strong enough connection with the person he is connected to, he can raise them up from the dead, however the person won't be the same and must obey what he says.
Current Ambitions
Errrrr...commune with the dead?
His current ambition is to travel to other places he has heard from the whispers of the dead. However, seeing as he hasnt found a way yet, he is highly suspicious and wonders if the dead people are just sending him on a wild goose chase.
Other
Most people hate him, he has no social skills and practice thinking of other people and he spends so much time with the dead (although unwillingly), however certain ignorant young children look up to him in awe for his powers
He is withdrawn from most of the population, he doesnt mind most people whether living or dead and appreciates anyone who will talk to him for something other then can you talk to my dead ___ ghost

Name:
Dr. John Xenon (The not so weak version!)
(Approx.) Age:
Uh, 30s? He looks twenty something though.
Species:
Time Mage
Aliases/Titles:
Zeitomaniac, Time Master
Alignment:
Depends. He usually sides with freedom to make a choice and the "good" side, although might side with the "bad" side if they're fighting for freedom to make a choice.
Personality:
He is logical and blunt, but doesn't want to be in the limelight. He'd rather be in a quiet place not doing anything major than be forced to solve every minor problem. That being said, he will solve every problem he is given to the best of his ability. He likes freedom, especially if it gives him the excuse not to be in the main light.
Backstory:
His parents merely didn't believe he was magical. They just thought he was going to a regular private school and not a school for magic people. A nice note that he isn't really their child, but that's kinda hard to explain when both sides believe they're related.
Eventually he became a teacher for said school (he taught Magical Philosophy), became an understudy for the former (at the time current) Time Master against his will, saved a former time king from doom from his (the time king's) brother, and was forced to become Time Master against his will. He'd much rather teach than be the Time Master. Oh, and there's the minor sob story of his deaf Telekinesis assistant marrying a mute Telekinesis man and them both losing their power so Dr. Xenon would, but we aren't getting into that.
Likes:
Time warps, quiet places, time to think, time to read, not being in a battle every two seconds, not dealing with the Simulation other world that the former Time King lived in for the longest of time.
Dislikes:
People who hated him, falling asleep in a tree (that was your fault Xenon!), people who tease him, the color green, nonfiction books on life of major people, presidents, being asked if he's from LondonBritainThe Untied Kingdom somewhere he isn't from.
Fears:
Losing his powers. You can make him do just about anything by threatening to take his powers away. Death. He's seen countless people die in the fight between the former time king and his brother, thank you very much.
Abilities:
This is where it gets very complicated very quickly:
He is a time mage, meaning he has four hearts, unlike the general mage, which has three. He has a mana producing heart (producing magical energy by either taking magic out of the air he breathes (costly) or converting energy (in glucose) he already has. The latter drains him of his energy and produces more than taking it from the air, although he always takes it from the air as much as possible), two mana-mixing hearts (mixing the mana into his blood, the normal time mage has one mixing mana heart and one normal heart) and a small silver heart in his left wrist (which makes the mana usable) Unlike the normal Time Mage, his three hearts in his chest are always beating, meaning he pretty much runs on mana like we run on glucose. It is a mutation that gives him the upper hand, allowing magic to be cast nearly instantly. Of course, it is time related.
His abilities he can cast are as follow:
He can slow down or stop time for himself, the longer it is slowed/stopped, the more mana he uses. Stopping time takes a lot of energy to stop it, but is relatively not costly to maintain. Slowing down time takes less mana out of him than stopping it, but it is the same amount each second, tiring him quickly
Weakness: Slowing time down for more than ten seconds takes a lot out of him. Stopping time for more than 7 or 8 seconds takes a lot out of him. He can't run when time is stopped. He has to use the mana from blood glucose in both since he can't take mana out of time air.
He can share his mana with a Telekinesis person, as long as they also share with him, and time jump.
Weakness: Both pass out on arrival to new place.
Oh, and he can detect time warps naturally (due to the constant mana in his system.)
Current Ambitions?:
To not be a Time Master To time travel some more by sharing his mana with a telekinesis person and time jumping that way
Other:
I'm bringing Sleeping-In-A-Tree man BACK!
Also, the majority of the magic mage (MM) population sees all time mages as unnecessary and useless, the Time Master even more so. Dr. Xenon, being a Time Master, is rather well-known, not as known as the former time king, but still rather well-known. He isn't fond of the Telekinesis Mages, especially those in power, unless they have some major drawback that makes them unwanted. As for the other, he is fine with them and doesn't really have an opinion on them.
I might add another character.

Hmmmm... true true, like especially if Casey couldn't save someone so they died...and Alastor would just be there with detached emotion, like I guess I could bring them back? or I could just tell their ghost sorry
(Speaking of which I need to finish my characters but...stat is killing me)

Casey would just be morally torn between not wanting to be reminded of the life that slipped through his fingers, and also wanting to hear what the spirit had to say out of guilt and respect.
Also did I mention he's kind of a huge crybaby? xD Sensitive? idk

Lol, I can just see that scene, just Casey sobbing over the dead person, and Alastor just like, I could kill you if you want to talk to him yourself?

Insert Alastor being like, so do you want me to kill you? or I'll just stand here awkwardly half way between life and death
