I captured a themed pet. I hated the eye color so I changed it with a potion. There is a green button on the pet page now and it says -This Themed Pet is eligible to have its colors updated to the new variation-
Does that mean that if I click the button it will change back to the ugly eye color? I love the new eye color I don't want to change it back. Can I remove the button from the pet's page? It is annoying seeing it there.
Or does -the new variation- mean something else? I don't know any variations. I don't want to change anything when I don't know what is going to happen.

Yes, if you click the new color variation it'll turn back to its original colors, & no you can't remove the button, as annoying as it can be.

Ok. So getting themed pets is pointless then unless you love all the colors. I didn't see the eye color clearly when I captured it. So that was a waste of a trap. :(

Not completely pointless. Even if you don't like the theme yourself, there are lots of people who collect various species (e.g. I collect themed lups) and would be happy to buy them from you. ...Though some species will be easier to sell than others.

I wasted a color potion on it. I will never get that back. I could have used that potion on another pet and not have gotten a button. I like the pet with the new eye color but now I'm stuck with a button that won't go away. I got another one with the same theme but that one has red eyes and not ugly pink. The red eyes one didn't have a mutation though and now it just reminds me of the other one. There should be a warning not to waste potions on themed pets.

it's kind of assumed that you know what youre getting into when dying pets. Annoying but true...sadly...

There's a thing called color swing, that's why some themed pets look better then others from the same theme. Very annoying it is, really very annoying...Don't worry abut the pet dye though. I assume you used a esser pet dye? Those are 1k scales. It's really easy to get scales in the game so you'll earn those back if you justnurture for like 10-20 minutes. Greater dyes cost more but honestly three or four leseer dyes is worth 1 greater dye from what i can tell so if you used a greater dye just sell some lesser dyes and you'll get your money back
