Hi there! So I've always loved birds, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one who really likes them on this site! Do ya'll have a favorite bird? Or perhaps a good memory of birds? I'd love to hear if anyone else likes birdwatching!

I LOVE BIRDWATCHING! I have several kinds of feeders and keep track of all the birds I see. I remember a specific time when two robins got into a fight. One was chasing the other, but they werent flying. They were just running. You would think the one getting chased would try to fly away, but no. Also another time one starling but another starlings leg while it was on the feeder and threw the starling on the ground. Dont worry it was fine.

No, you aren't the only birb enthusiast on this site! I've had an obsession with birbs since fourth grade. They're especially entertaining to watch during quarantine.
Yesterday, I found the fluffiest Golden-crowned Sparrow that was casually perched on my windowsill. They didn't seem bothered at all by us when my bro found them. For some reason, cameras freak birds out, so when I tried taking a picture, the sparrow flew away. :'(
My favorite bird is probably the American Bushtit. They're sooo fluffy!

*screeches* I've always loved birds, too! Well, since preschool at least, when we got to watch chicks hatch.
I love birds! Not a huge variety birds to see around here but we have a small swamp sorta thing and I've spotted red-winged blackbirds and the occasional great egret.
Oh, and we have ten billion Canada/cackling geese during fall xD And besides the garden birds like sparrows and such we do have a few ruby-throated hummingbirds.
At some point I memorized the scientific names for a ton of random birds because I was utterly bored over the summer, made flashcards and everything, but I dunno if I still remember 'em.
My favorite bird is probably... Ugh can't choose between black kite, Pacific swift, aperegrine falcon, and snowy owl...

I do, though most of what's around here are pigeons, threshers, or roadrunners.
I absolutely love pigeons though, so I've taken it on myself to set up my balcony as a safe area for them just so I can watch the mourning doves and rock doves chill near my apartment garden.
I used to camp a lot as a young child so the sound of mourning doves is really comforting and nostalgic for me. My cat doesn't seem to like them very much though. XD
They get very loud.

I like birdwatching! I'm still not the best at it (birds are hard to get good looks at and I can't memorize calls easily). I used to live in a wooded area, so the birds there were quite varied. Some regulars I saw (or heard) were Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Eastern Phoebes, Carolina Wrens, Brown Thrashers, and Red-eyed (or was it White-eyed?) Vireos. I also heard a Barred Owl late at night (sounded a bit creepy at first!) The best bird by far I personally saw there was a Painted Bunting that visited my feeder.
I like in the suburbs now, but there are still chickadees, White-breasted nuthatches, and the occasional cardinal. A lot more sparrows than before, though. :P
I like trying to identify birds, but it seem like when I go out into wild areas to look for birds specifically, they all go into hiding. XD

I love birds, too. My favourite bird? Honestly, any cockatoo. They're so funny and when kept in a good environment can be like a feathery dog.
