Yeah I understand this concept xD, and I think it would be good, but it might be hard to implement.

I think some kind of thread subscription is a really good idea. In particular, some groups have so many members that they need multiple pinglists, which can be kind of a pain.

As a similar idea, I wonder what you'd think of "group ping tags"--instead of pinging a group with their individual names, players could create/sign up to be part of "ping groups" (i.e. @_GroupName or something that couldn't be a player name) and then would be pinged as part of that ping group. A possible advantage over subscriptions would be if you only want to be notified when the thread owner announces something (i.e. when subscribing to a project thread, you want to be notified when there are updates, but not when players ask/answer questions about the projects)

Actually I was thinking the same thing. I would like away to subscribe to a forum like you said or a way to add a thread to a favorites list. Something that makes finding a thread easier since there could be radio silence on the pings for awhile.

Because I'm new, there are only two threads I really want to keep up with when I have time to be on the site. But when I come back I often forget where they are posted when I first come back if I haven't been pinged. Also a way to see what threads you have posted or old posts would be nice if there isn't one already.

Support! I would love this so much! I think, as someone else said, that certain group pinglists would work too. I like that idea very much too, because I have told large groups only to ping me for contests and the like, but having groups would be SO much easier!
