Welcome to round one! You have from today until the 30th of June at 12:00pm Game Time to get your entries in. Make sure they abide by the theme and that you pm the entries to me. Each contest migth have some different rules so make sure you read through them all.


How Voting will work So the week after the 30th of June I will be posting your entries on sylestia and the community will vote on who will win that round. it'll work a lot like Bob Ross's The Joy of designing and Britter's Sylestia's Top Designer. Except that the person the community votes on will only win the prize. Judges will still score you. These scores will be a HUGE factor in the final and most important contest. so make sure you work hard on both accounts. Remember do NOT reveal your entry to anyone but me.

Theme: Song Inspiration
Music and Writing are closer than most people believe. Music is about how it makes you feel and can stir up powerful emotions and feelings. Good writing does the same. In this round you will pick one of the songs provided and write a story based on that song. You may only use 1 song, make sure you include the song from the list you used to write your story.

Rules
1. Do not share any entries you enter to anyone but me.
2. Do not post your entries on the thread just pm them to me under the title Ultimate writer Round 1
3. You may only use 1 song.
4. When sending in your entry include which song number you used as inspiration.
5. Do not copy other peoples work.
6. If you think anyone is cheating do not confront them, tell me and I will deal with it.
7. All the work you enter cannot be pre-written. it must be for this contest.
8. Your story can be as short or long as you want it to be. However don't make it like a 20 page epic. Keep it realistic. Think short story.

I would suggest that you do not look at the titles of the song and just listen to them if possible. It'll help you stay focused on writing and not put it in a box.
