Hello there! I've noticed that I haven't had a giveaway for a really long time, so I'm doing one now. Horray!

Let's start with the rules. To enter this contest, you must write me a haiku. Yes, you heard right. A haiku.
For those who do not know, a haiku is a three line poem; the first and third lines must have five syllables, and the second one has seven. Here's a rather well known example:

Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
Refrigerator

See, first and last line have five syllables, middle one has seven. I'm sure there are lots of other obscure rules about what makes a good haiku, but I'm choosing to ignore those, so you can too!

Your haiku can be about anything you want as long as it is site appropriate. It can be funny, artsy, serious, whatever, just write one!

This is what I have for now; I may have more prizes by the time the contest ends, depending on my luck.
I will randomly select winners from all participants who write a haiku correctly; only one entry per person. Number of winners to be determined. You don't have to ping me. I might also select an additional winner based on which haiku I like the best. You have until Saturday, May 9th.


**One final note: I know competition for most released pets is fierce, but please do not participate in this giveaway just to release your prize!!! If you win a prize and just really want something to release, I can find something for you, so just tell me rather than releasing things that some users might actually want to keep!***

I see dancing here
They spin in a spiral down
Soft feet move near me.

When selling a pet
I make sure it is well-fed.
Hidden costs aren't fair.

Is that good? (I never really made a haiku.)

Haven't actually written a haiku since 4^th grade.

I have rice noodles
they are covered by some soup
they fell to the floor

I am very unique
life can never take me down
for I will stay strong.

Whee, we were talking about society issues today and up came bullying, discrimination, and racism. Boom idea bomb went off! :P :D
