If you like funny and slice of life, I watched quite a bit of Acchi Kocchi. It's cute and funny. c:

I would watch Claymore if you're into intense action. On the serious side. Like super-more serious, not so much funny.

That Baka no Test anime (forgot the name so long zzz) is funny as well. c: (it started with Baka, and had Test somewhere in it's name, it's p good)

If you're still looking, Ghost Hunt is an anime that I will always recommend to anyone and everyone. It's horror-based (pretty mild though), but it's also really funny! It follows the manga to a T as well, up until they ended the show. I'm sure I've seen it at least three times all the way through, but I never tire of it. It's 25 episodes.

If you don't mind a jumpy timeline, Baccano! is another one of my favorites. Every character is so wonderfully fleshed out and interesting, and the plot (if you can follow it through the jagged timeline) is really fun. It's 16 episodes. I have watched it with 4 different friends, all with different tastes, and each of them has really loved it!

My last recommendation would be Skip-Beat, my favorite shoujo anime! 25 episodes. Lots of fun.

If you're more into the generic type animes then you might want to attempt watching One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto. They're all basic action and adventure with only a little bit of romance. If you want another one but with more romance I suggest Sailor Moon.

I personally enjoy animes that cover youkai(demons). Usually they have humor, and action, and romance. A few great ones I found were Blue Exorcist, Inuyasha, and Nurarihyon No Mago.

If you really liked the Mystery/On the edge of your seat type feeling from Black Butler then you'd probably enjoy Death Note. You might even enjoy Wolf's Rain(my favorite anime).

If you like gore, with a great plot line you should try Attack On Titan and Black Lagoon.

I think that's it. ^-^
Hope this helps!

Baka and Test -very funny with a few sexual remarks

Attack on Titan -gore galore and very sad and very unique in you never know what will happen next filled with lots of action and not a single episode wasted on a filler

D. Grey Man -lots of action and interesting plot line

Angel Beats -sad action pact anime with lots of humor too ^^

Clanned -you will cry, that is all I can say

Clanned After Story -refer to Clanned

Hunter x Hunter -older type anime with lots of action and unique characters

Corpse Party -the name says it all, try not to grow attached to any characters(awesome game too)

Hetalia -humor, lots and lots of it. And who doesn't like to watch stereotypical characters running around being the awesome country they personify?

Naruto -get past the fillers(unless you wanna watch them for the humor of it) and you got yourself an amazing plot and great characters who you will most certainty not help but love

Au No Exorcist -the son of Satan, need I say more?

Karneval -not a well known anime but does deserve to be watched, awesome plot and really cute :)

Hellsing -vampires vs. vampires, pretty awesome plot and characters ^^

Fruits Basket -characters who personify the zodiac who whenever hugged by the opposite sex turn into their animal forms, pretty fun anime and plot and lovable characters

D.N.Angel -normal boy by day, dark thief by night

(And those are some of the animes I've watched which still remain in memory therefore good enough to stay in memory at all :) )
