This was an idea I had a while ago, but I kinda forgot about it until now oops.. this is the RPG int check thread I made, but some things have changed since the draft phase.

During your normal early 2021 activities, whether it be virtual school, walking your dog, or doing some virtual grocery shopping you find yourself daydreaming. About what you ask? A world named Argorin. filled with many unimaginable or otherwise impossible creatures and festivities. One moment it's just a thought in the back of your head, the next you can feel the grass beneath your feet.. grass? Weren't you just at home? You look around yourself only to meet the gaze of a- what exactly was it? It looked like some sort of half-pigeon half-whatever but.. big, like really big, people around you began appearing out of seemingly nowhere, looking just as confused and disoriented as you, the half-pigeon monster looks like its getting ready to attack.

There are 8 known types of magic outside of elemental druids:

1. Illusion - You can create mirages, the size, and accuracy of what you are making depends on your level, for example, if you're level one you can make 1ft x 1ft illusions with a 10-20% chance of complete accuracy. Very good for distractions and gaining friendships with towns & villages if you do it right.

2. Healing - A good ability to have, level 1 only grants healing scrapes and small scratches, but it is a very well regarded and sought-out ability, often used by those who work closely with royalty or nobles and most doctors.

3. Beast Keeping - Grants you the ability to summon and befriend wild beasts, an extremely uncommon ability, personal guards with this power are well paid. Level 1 will only allow you to domesticate weak/non-violent beasts.

4. Oracle - The power of fortune-telling, clairvoyance, and foresight, level 1 includes the ability to see anywhere from 10-30 minutes in the future.

5. Animation - The power to bring inanimate objects to life, very useful for help with cleaning, cooking, building, or simply hanging around, level 1 can only animate small items for a short period of time. Often used by traveling merchants to gather customers.

6. Conjuring - The ability to conjure and interact with spirits, very good for exorcisms or just making a friend.. that only you can see.. and hear... uh oh. Often used by exorcists and can potentially earn a lot of money

7. Mimicry - Similar to illusionist magic, mimicry can make a near-exact copy of something, but mirrored, [EX: if you had a mole on the left side of your face, someone, using mimicry mirroring you would have it on the right side of the mimic's face]- the difference is it can physically interact with the world. The ability to mimic, absorb, or steal the abilities or appearances of people, plants and animals, or even someone else's power if you are a high enough level.

8. Potions - those who can't possess any 1 of the other 7 magics take to potion-making, it's not as easy as you may think and requires lots of herb gathering, as well as certain item drops from bosses, if you are already attuned to a magical ability you will have very little or no ability at potion-making, and cannot begin to grow your potions level until your character reaches a high enough level.

4. This is a semi-lit to literate RP, which means no asterisks " * ", full sentences, please
5. Don't converse about or do anything inappropriate, not everyone is comfortable with that and there are children on this site.
6. I'm hoping this is a long-term RP, as the BBG [big bad guy] probably won't get introduced for a bit
7. You're character may die [they won't die quickly or easily, I promise, and if you reealllly don't want your character to die I'll be extra nice :)].. you can have backups or use multiple at once.

as a short explanation of the 'species change' from human to whatever [if you decide not to be human] is honestly just because I felt like doing it ngl, and I want to see how yall represent your characters' reactions to changing or not changing. Some people changed others didn't, how do they feel about it?

Backstory [life before Argorin]: Crystal is not friendly with many people but one of the few friends she has had over the years is why she wanted to study medicine. Warren lived in the same village as Crystal for a long time before he left to travel on his own. Crystal before then had seem Warren heal minor injuries without using any powers making her want to become a healer. A few years later she left the village to see if she could find Warren's trail and maybe see him again.

Personality: Illya is shy, loyal, trusting, but also suspicious. She is protective of those who earn her friendship. Illya can sometimes be a bit mischievous but she tries to avoid causing to much trouble; the worst someone has ever gotten from Illya is a small drawing on their hand after the person fell asleep painting.

Its more or less rpg, and is somewhat similar to a homebrew D&D campaign? I'm not entirely sure how I'd classify it myself, but I have two versions one that involves dice [or a virtual dice] and one that doesn't, this one doesn't because I'm honestly very concerned about cheating and lying about the numbers and it can also be difficult for those who aren't familiar with D&D to fully understand the dice when starting a campaign.

frankly I'm not great at getting all the info I need down so please if you have any questions about it at all let me know, I'm sure I have lots to write about it.. sometimes too much writing in the first post keeps people from wanting to join

Yeah sorry, I was trying to get the info out quickly and it kinda messed up the wording. There were a few people interested before, but I don't know if most of them are even active now tbh, if not I'll still probably try and pursue the game on another site that's more active or has more RPG-interested folk.

I love your guys' characters! I'll be turning the RSVD post into a character list with all the info to keep track of changing skill points and/or additions to abilities [magical & non-magical], as well as your characters levels which all start out at lvl 0.

Magical items [or any items really] you have collected will also end up in your inventory which will be displayed on your character sheet on the list.

I'm hoping to get at least 1-2 more characters/players before starting but our character limit is 10! Players can join mid-game but they may be severely low-leveled in comparison to other characters.

When you get to know him, hes a very nice person and will do no harm. Also, anyone who threatens his freinds, both humanoid or animal, is a dead man.

Appearance: (Ill find a pic if I can) teenage white kid, small case of acne with a bit of scarring, looks like your average American kid mixed with a bit of Japanese. Its kinda thin, but is still pretty strong and durable. Is fast when he wants to be, and wont hurt even a fly unless he has to.

Other abilities/info [any abilities and/or habits they've gained through experience in the real world]: is a vegetarian most of the time, unless he has to eat meat. Carries a small knife and a slingshot with rocks, and the rocks can be heated through friction (from other objects or air resistance) to get hot enough to give small burns when fired at a target further than a few meters. Relies on animals to fight for him, but he doesnt force any. He works with mutual trust and respect, and holds no grudge against them if they refuse. Mainly uses reptiles, but also can work with birds. Can talk to animals through sounds, movements, and a bit of miming.

(WIP, this may take some time for edits and changes. Also, I may have to pull out of this RP later if school or something IRL gets complicated. Let me know if I should change anything. Also, if this could be a 1 on 1 thing, that would be great, since I kinda get lost in the RP if theres a lot of people and I fall behind. If not, thats ok.)
