Soooo, I've seen a user or two having learnt of and joined Sylvestia through Dragon Cave ads. I came over too from DC. If you're a DC player, drop by and say hi? :D Chat about anything really, from your favourite breed to the ones you avoid like whoa. I'm a very active DC breeder, I do tonnes of breeding projects with my dragons :3

sweet i found out about this game from an ad from dragon cave too. i like pretty much every breed in DC except the ones that have messy lineages. those i am trying to freeze unless they have a bsa which then i dont care

There are click sites to raise them xD I never had to worry about them dying. There is a section in the DC forum about the numerous clicksites out there. Some examples (and my favourites):

Advice to new players, wait until your eggs are 6 days old before putting into click sites. Accumulation of views/clicks too quickly when eggs are 'fresh' can cause them to get soft shell sickness and die. Once an egg is sick, you have to use the Fog option on the Actions page to keep the egg Fogged until it is no longer sick. Remember to unfog though, or the egg cannot hatch.

It's really not as complicated as it sounds xD I basically breed/catch the eggs, put them in one or two click sites (you don't need a bajillion click sites in order for them to hatch) a day later, forget about them for a week and when I come back they're all grown up.

Same! I got into lineages soon after I joined so the vast majority of my scroll is just CBs and organised lineages xD Even if it's a gold/silver/neglected, I can't abide messy things.

I used to play Dragon Cave quite a lot. Unfortunately, I have problems with tendinitis and the repetitive clicking of the cave and abandoned area were just too much for my arms. I took a break for a few months and lost all the names I had for my dragons. Never could get back into it again. I can't remember what is what for lineages. I'm sure I had notes somewhere but they may be on a different computer. I think two months being absent is far too short of a time to lose all of your names. I can understand maybe six months? But if you just want to take a short break you better remember to check your dragons still occasionally or this can happen.

That said, I do still participate during holidays. I really enjoyed the Snow Fort this time around. I thought it was very creative. I also liked that people could have more than two of each of the past Christmas dragon breeds.

Edit: I realized that my post came out rather negative sounding. I did enjoy Dragon Cave. Playing it led me to trying out other pet games as well, and that eventually led to Sylestia.

I haven't been on in ages, but all my names are still there. By ages, I mean at the very least I hadn't been on for more than half a year.
