Unfortunately, yes.

With how the older Zones are set up, I am not really able to do much with them in regards to new things. I can only really feasibly add and adjust things with the Lost Grove. It is much more difficult to do so in the older Zones.

The good news though is that it generally only takes about 5-10 hours of playtime to unlock the Lost Grove, but you do have to focus on it. Depending on what's roadblocking you right now, you can look to purchase higher level pets or Equipment from other Players to help you cruise along through the Zones. Each Zone in the first two Regions generally only takes an hour or so to complete and then the final 2 Zones in the third Region take maybe 2 or 3 hours to complete. And then at that point, you gain access to the Lost Grove.

I believe there are also some walkthrough guides posted on the Forums that can provide additional detailed assistance.

I think I have a powerful enough team to get there thanks to grinding in the spring theme event. But due to my recovering from a concussion I've been told to limit my screen time. So that's my roadblock at the moment. So I might not be able to make it in time for this event but hopefully by the next one I'll get there.

If I finished, say, rank 8 for warlord, Would the service rank thing reset and I start over on scout (rank 1)?

Ah. Very understandable and hope you have a swift recovery.

Unfortunately, yea, I'm just pretty limited by the technical stuff with how the original Zones are coded. It is a very high priority to get all of our exploration systems rebuilt and upgraded in the near future though.

Nope. You will keep your previous progress. =)

I meant, would I be able to compete complete the other ranks again so I could get to rank 9? (I do have to complete all three ranks 8s to get to 9, right?) Ah, I hope I phrased it right.

You will still have the same progress from wherever you left off last year.
