Then the two froze as they heard roaring nearby followed by running.

A human running.

"Cera I know you're not going to like this but we need to help that person," Ali gets on Cera's back with some effort. She tries to guide Cera towards the sound of running. Thinking quickly Ali grabs a branch to use as a weapon against whatever roared, "Come on Cera please for me. I'll give you more treats when we get back."

Cera simply snorted, understanding the urgency, and ran at the sound.

They found a young boy, maybe in his late teens, running from a Ceratosaurus. It opened its mouth and roared, gaining ground on the guy.

Ali strikes a tree with the branch as Cera runs past, "Hey ugly leave the kid alone. Cera when I give you the signal run towards the trees and trust me."
Yes she has a plan. When and if the Ceratosaurus chases them she'd lead it into the trees hook the branch on two closish trees and closline the sucker. After that if it kept chasing them she had a few more suprises up her sleeves one of them being fire.

The dinosaur looked at her and roared, but then Ali was suprised as Cera just jumped in the way and the dinosaurs began to battle, horns against teeth.

The boy ran over to her, scared. *are you ok? Whats your name?* he asked, worried.

"Cera," Ali growls worried about her friend, "Kid find a rock or something to throw at the dino that was chasing you. If something happens to Cera I'm going to kill it myself. Or better yet find flint I'm pretty sure I have a knife in my bag. Ali and no."

He tossed over a shard of flint and pulled out a slingshot and a bag of rocks. He began firing at the ceratosaurus, distracting it so Cera could get the upper hand.

"Please work, please work," Ali sets the branch down and starts striking the flint against the knife to create fire to help drive the dino away. If that didn't work she'd throw rocks at the dino too and hope Cera won.

Cera and the ceratosaurus kept fighting, snorting. Then the Ceratosaurus grabbed Ceras horn and knocked her to the ground, stepping on her and roaring in her face.

The boy aimed and fired, shooting a rock down the dinosaurs throat.

The ceratosaurus backed up, choking and coughing as Cera rose, shaking herself.

Alright no more miss nice. Ali rushes the dino and hits it's hard as she could with the branch. And being that the branch is most likely from prehistoric times it's probally gonna be pretty hard. She hits as hard and as fast as possible.
"Leave Cera alone you big bully," Ali strikes hard and judges where to strike before striking again harder, "Go away you big brute or else."
Being a student who has studied dinosaur bones she know where most bite wounds most likely happened but also a few weak points that most of the bigger carnivors had. She goes after those weak points.
