"Awaken"
"Huh?"
Willow looked around the darkness. It was pitch black and she couldn't see a thing.
" Awaken."
"Who are you? Show yourself"
She was now very worried.
" Awaken, and run."
" What do you mean run?"
A faint red pulse from one direction caught her eye. She started walking towards it. The place suddenly got even darker, and the glow disappeared completely.
" AWAKEN. RUN. SURVIVE."
She fell backwards with a yelp as to glowing blood red eyes appeared in front of her, only a few inches away. She felt her eyelids get heavy as she started falling down, as they slowly drew together, she heard a few more words.
" Awaken..."
" And remember... "
" Don't..."
"Stop..."
" Running..."
There was a long pause as silence filled the air and Willow's eyes slowly closed. One last word was said.
" Awaken"
And then darkness fully consumed her.
She jolts upright in her bed.
"It was all a dream."
She lets out a long breath she didn't realise she had been holding. She looks out the window at the forest across the town. It always looked menacing to her.
She turned around and dragged herself out of bed.
" at least Mom won't have to wake me up this morning."
She quickly got dressed in some comfortable clothing. Then she brushed her hair and braided it. She followed this up by tieing it with a shiny silk ribbon. Now she was heading downstairs to help with breakfast.
" Hey Mom, need any help?"
Mom looked up surprised.
" You're up surprisingly early. Did you sleep okay?"
" Yeah. Do you need an-"
The door suddenly burst open, and one of Mom's friends came rushing in.
" You need to pack your things and leave right now."
" What? Why? Is something wrong?"
" The council has decided Willow's fate, and yours, fate. They will be here in an hour."
Mom drew in a deep breath. She said two single, blood curdling, words as she let the breath out.
" Witch Hunt."
Willow's eyes widened. The council couldn't be serious, right? She had never hurt anyone, and just because things randomly happened when she spoke sometimes didn't make her a witch.
" Willow, start packing up anything important, we have to leave soon."
Mom was trying to remain calm, but she was barely holding it together. Mom had grabbed a bag and was shoving food into them. Willow was grabbing medicle supplies to put in the bag. Mom's friend had left. She had given the warning, but she would nothing more.
Willow grabs a hunting knife and a few changes of clothes to shove in her bag. Then there was a loud bang on the door. Mom shoved the bag into Willow's arms.
"Go out the back door and run to the forest. Do not stop running until you are about to collapse"
" But-"
" No buts naughty child. Now go and do what mother has told you."
Willow went out the backdoor and booked it. She didn't go towards the front door though. Then the worst possible thing happened.
" THE GIRL IS ESCAPING!!! UNLEASH THE DOGS!!!"
She had been spotted and now she could hear the barks of dogs ready for the hunt. She didn't look back though. She would be dead if she did. She ran through the village as people tried to grab her. She kept running, and running, and running. Past the town square, past the school, past the jail, and past the execution grounds. She slowed down ever so slightly, and she thought that she two stakes. She didn't have time to slow down to make sure though. Those hunting dogs were wasting no time at all. She jumped the fence that separated the town and the forest. She kept running, getting faster and faster as she ran.
Branches seemed to reach out to grab her. The roots made her trip and fall. She ignored it and kept running, but with each trip, the hunting dogs got ever closer, and Willow couldn't run forever either. She was already gasping for breath.
Then she saw her chance. There was a large rocky out cropping to the side of her a ways away. She turned towards it, and with her last burst of speed went as fast as she could. Turning had delayed her though, and the dogs were right on her heels now. She made it to the outcropping and took a flying leap and grabbed onto the nearest ledge to begin climbing.
One of the dogs leaped up and bit her on the leg just before she could pull herself out of reach. She smacked the dog hard on the nose and it let go of her leg with a yelp. She looked down at her ankle which was bleeding heavily. She quickly tried to patch up the wound as best she could.
She then pulled her knees to her chest and finally started to breath aging. Her breathes were little more then wheezes, and she was starting to cry on top of that. You couldn't hear her over the dogs though.
( sorry it is a bit lazy towards the end.)

Skies was on the hunt when he heard the very unwelcome sound of barking coming from deeper in the forest, startling the rabbit, which he let go with an irritated toss of the head. Seeing as dogs weren't native to the forest, it was likely that those stupid villagers were trying to kill him again. For the second time in one cycle of the moon. That was a record.
He turned towards the barks. Maybe he hadn't scared them badly enough last time. At the very least, he could kill the dogs or something. Serves them right to disturb him when he was trying to hunt.
He came to a stop, concealed in the trees near a rocky outcropping, where the dogs were pacing around and growling. He could detect the faint scent of blood-- had the dogs caught something? That was unwelcome, it wasn't their forest.
He shifted into human form to better hide within the trees with an annoyingly loud rustle of feathers. The dogs' ears pricked up at the sound, but they either dismissed it or even they were afraid to follow it into the thick trees where he was hiding.
He narrowed his eyes at the outcropping, catching sight of some girl sitting on top of it, though he couldn't make out much else. A human? The humans were usually too scared to set foot into his forest, even in groups, so they sent their dogs instead. He had no idea why the dogs were chasing a human, even, but whatever the case, he drew the line at a human sitting smack dab in the middle of the forest like it owned the place. He'd have to teach it a lesson.
(It's fine, also can you maybe mention something about her having heard stories of there being some super murderous thing in the forest before? The villagers probably figure that even if the dogs don't get her, he will lol)

( She had, but with the current situation, her best bet was the forest. She would die for sure in the village. There is a chance she would live if the forest monster didn't find her.)
By now she had somehow managed to mostly recapture her breath and had stopped crying. Her ankle was still bleeding heavily, so quickly changed the bandage on it and applied a little bit of a herbal ointment to help prevent infection.
then she noticed that the dogs became silent for a second. This worried her since those dogs most likely heard something. Willow's mind started filling with the rumores about this forest. People go in, and they don't come out.
She thumbled around for her knife and tried to stand up to get a better view of the area. Pain shot through her leg and she quickly sat down. There was no way she could run very well like this, but she could run if she had to. She tried to take a few deep breaths to calm her nervous. Then she huddle back into a ball, but she was looking around nervously.
( she must be quite the sight. I lone human sitting on a rock in a dangerous forest covered in scratches. Plus, the rock has 5 or so dogs trying to figure out how to climb it. )

Skies watched the human stand up as if it meant to attack or move, but then immediately sit back down, presumably having been injured by the dogs. How pathetic. Even if he didn't teach it a lesson, it'd probably die anyways from starvation if it couldn't stand.
Well, he'd come here to get rid of the dogs, but he figured the human was going anywhere at the moment. Still in human form, he emerged from the trees and walked calmly towards the dogs. They would likely have attacked a normal human, but they took one sniff in one direction and immediately fled, presumably back towards the village. He watched them go, deciding not to chase them before turning back to stare silently at the human on the outcropping.
(For some reason I am laughing at the visual of the dogs trying to climb it lol)

She froze completely in place. Then she backed up towards the ledge farthest away from the creature that had emerged. She risked a quick glance down. It was steeper than the side she had come up on, but she could hop down.
She took a flying leap off the rock ledge and landed on her uninjured foot. She then ran as fast as she could away from the creature. Every step caused her pain but she ignored it. She would be dead if she stopped.
She wasn't heading towards the village though. Nope, she was heading deeper into the forest. She was going much slower than she would normally though.
(XD that is a funny thought. I'll be back in about 1.5 hour)
