Lemme just scoot over here so we don't clog up the interest thread.
I don't really have an idea in mind. Uhhhh, dragon hunters is the first thing I thought of? Except the dragons are extremely smart and require extreme trickery and stuff, and it's a very well-paying but very niche and dangerous job?

... I got an idea bouncing off of that. Because I like dragons and hate dragon hunters.
So its a world of humans and dragons. They get along well for the most part, but for some reason, way back in the past, war broke out. Dragons fought with teeth, claws, and fire, and humans fought with swords, armor, bows and arrows, and sheer numbers. Its bloody, and the war keeps going and has been going for hundreds of years.
Until one day, when a human teenager finds a dragon egg in an abondanded nest, and rather than break the egg like they had been taught, they let the dragon hatch and keep it. The dragon grows quickly and are found out, and the teen and dragon are now on the run, fleeing from the humans who want the dragon dead and the teen dead for being a traitor, hoping to flee to the dragons for safety and trying to convince them to end the war peacefully, since dragons live much longer and are much wiser.
Also, the dragons talk, but almost never talk to humans. Whether its by speech or telekenisis, thats something we can talk about. But yeah. Dragons talk to other dragons in some way, and can talk to humans as well. I like telekenisis, because thats cool.
Thats a rough idea. But hows that?

I like hunters and I'm less fond of dragons lol
That sounds fine. May I be the human? I'm not really fond of RPing nonhumanoids.
Also, perhaps the dragons can have a human form because, like I said, I don't really like majorities of nonhumans.
Oh great, now I really want to write dragon species mechanics xD

Lol fair, I guess. Im VERY biased.
And sure, you can be human.
And I love dragons having human bodies. Yes please! And list off any dragon mechanics you want so I can think about them. Criticizing dragons is something I love to do.

Random ideas:
- Perhaps they'll go to the dragons and discover that the dragons aren't too happy either, I mean, come on, they don't like humans and I don't really want it to seem like it's entirely human fault?? Like maybe they go to the dragons thinking that the dragons will help them, because the humans are tryna kill them and the dragons aren't doing anything-- except the dragons have just entirely not noticed them or decided not to interfere, but they don't really want to help, either.
- Hmm, maybe they got along in the past, but there was a colossal misunderstanding and each thought the other did something wrong when in reality, either they both missed the point or some third party was involved. So in order to actually end the war, the protagonists have to prove it somehow?
I'm not one for anatomy, and I don't know what you have in mind for variations on dragon species and such but the basic ones I was thinking of were:
- Going off of the telekinesis, dragons are somewhat mentally inclined. By looking a dragon in the eye, they can amplify any emotions you have to drown out the others, primarily fear. Even the bravest person will still have to be scared at least a little in order to be brave, so the dragons can take advantage of that, as it's extremely difficult to not be scared at all unless you're extremely familiar with it (in the case of the teen). However, dragons can only focus on one person while doing this (seeing as they can't look multiple people in the eye at once lol), and they do, in fact, have to focus, which is why they rely more on their teeth and claws for fighting large numbers. They cannot do to the same extent in their human form, but they can make it so they seem to radiate enough fear to discourage anyone from trying anything.
They can also do this to other dragons, which can result in a sort of battle for dominance against one who's forgotten their place or something.
The telekinesis is less of like straight words and more of very complex and specific feelings that basically come to the same conclusion, thus making it extremely difficult for a dragon to lie because their true feelings/intentions will very likely come through as well.
- Dragons have a human form (obviously). Because it's more of a projection than an actual physical shape-shift, their human form can look like anything they want, but within certain boundaries. For example, they can look taller to a certain point or change like freckles and such, but they might get stuck with, idk, blue hair or something as an "outline" of sorts. If they get hurt/die/too weak for some reason, they automatically go back to dragon form. When in human form, they can talk, though it might sound weird if they're out of practice, so some prefer to just use telekinesis and lip-synch if they want to hide it. They also retain a lot of the strength and speed and such, but it's limited or muffled in a sense because of their form? Like, it's comparable to trying to run normally but in high heels.
- Uhh if you want elemental alignments or something, I can work something out, dunno

I freaking love all of this and want it. As for elemental things, the dragons can breath out fire, electrical bolts, ice blasts, and poison sprays and globs. Also, idea for the telekinesis. If their will is strong enough and focus hard enough, they can fill a humans mind with numb emotions or something, or make them very susceptible to suggestion. Basically hypnosis. Only the best, oldest, and most mentally powerful dragons can do this. Hows that?

Yeah, the second part sounds good.
- Adding onto that, baby dragons are not immune to their own breath element, but they quickly grow their own unique adaptation to become entirely immune to it. However, they are not immune to others, even those of the same element (for example, a dragon won't get hurt by its own fire, but others' fire will have an effect). But due to the anatomy/physical adaptations they go through while adapting to their own breath, they do have a slight resistance to others of the same element. I dunno if that made any sense, but uhh, say there's a young dragon that spits poison. When it gets older, it quickly evolves scales immune to its own poison so it doesn't accidentally hurt itself, but these scales are not adapted to others' poison, which may be formulated slightly differently (I assume it would be based on lineage, so they'd probably also be mostly immune to others closely related to them), so they can still be affected by it. However, since most poison still shares similar qualities, their scales have some slight resistance to others', just not all the way.
By the way, I just realized that I think we meant telepathy, telekinesis is moving things with the mind lol
