I've got a griffin (with a human form, which they will probably first appear in), who's canonically the secret protector of a village that guards against some other supernatural creature. Perhaps we can work that into the plot, somehow?
I'm not sure if the weird things happening to the person is caused by them, but if not, maybe the thing the supernatural creature is guarding against is causing it somehow.
Name: Willow
Gender: Female
Species: Human???
Personality (include strengths/weaknesses): She is usually seen as the quiet, shy type. While that is very true about her, she also has a very childish, silly side that seems to be the complete opposite. She has a mild fear of spiders, the dark, and being left alone. She is very good at running. She is not very good at swimming.
Abilities: Sometimes when she says certain words, things will randomly happen depending on the word. Example: She says the word shatter, and a window shatters.
Backstory (optional): When she was born, she had blue eyes and light brown hair. Over the years, her eyes turned ruby red and her hair turned black. Her dad apparently died when before she was born.
Other: Do to her appearance and the fact that strange things happen around her, her mother told her to stay inside as much as possible. This made her look somewhat pale.
( so, i'm thinking that there will be a mystery somewhere in this roleplay about wether she is actually human or some kind of hybrid. What do you think?)

Personality
Kind of bored and aloof for the most part, doesn't really care for the well-being of humans, might kill one on sight just for being in his territory unless they have a really good reason. Not exactly the type to help someone unless he either feels like it for whatever reason or he's getting something from it. Once he warms up to you, he's a little nicer and more polite, but still pretty unemotional. Sometimes he can totally dismiss or forget other people's limits, and he's usually too proud to stoop to anything like helping someone out of sheer kindness or letting people ride him.
Abilities
Enhanced speed and strength, has excellent eyesight, can fly, has a human form (see below), obviously beak and claws
Backstory
He's claimed the village/forest and defends it from any other major supernaturals (e.g. dragons and stuff, I'd assume there are like fairies and, idk, jackalopes and stuff) in the area (and he's pretty powerful too, so rarely any major supernaturals strays onto his territory because they're afraid), not because he particularly cares about the people in the village, but because hunting grounds and territory and stuff. The village has many rumors about there being a major, extremely dangerous supernatural in the forest and therefore avoid the forest in general, though they're not exactly sure what he is-- although that just gives them a reason to send occasional people in there to die (though they usually starve or die some other way before he finds them, so he doesn't really care). The village people try to hunt him every once in awhile and fail miserably.
Other
In human form, his hair is the same shade of reddish-gold-brown as the feathers in the picture, with blue streaks and tips, and his ears are like tufts as seen in the picture, in case someone doesn't already get nonhuman vibes from him. (If you try to touch them, he will maul you.) He kinda looks like a hunter of some sort. When he turns human, it looks like he's dropping feathers, when he turns back into a griffin, it looks like he's wrapping himself in feathers-- it's kind of hard to explain, but you get the idea
