(POV: Lomaris, age 25 years [aka 6 years in elf.] This is before he got the massive scar on his face or the majority of the markings and tattoos on his body..... he's just a smol innocent elf child.)
Lomaris is wandering in the woods. His parents and the rest of the elves told him not to go too far, but did he listen? No. He never listened to the rest of them, they were...... scary. Scary, and boring. He likes the woods much better than their cities, where there's no one to yell at him or tell him what to do.

(POV: Flax is a lil 6yr old kitten with both hands and a magnet for trouble still)
Flax had been out on a trip into the forest with her parents and a couple of other kittens when she saw it, the tree! A huge oak with fanning out leaves that was BEGGING to be climbed so she ran off and scaled it while the group walked off blissfully oblivious. Soon enough though she was bored...
Eventually she heard somebody walking under said tree and she pounced! Leaping down from the tree, she neatly landed on the young elf with a loud hiss.

"Ah!" Lomaris yelps and falls to the grassy forest floor, startled. He sort of..... sits there.... curled up for a while in the fetal position.

She hopped off of Lomaris with her little pom-pom tail and ears twitching like crazy as gently poked him with one blunt claw.

Lomaris, slowly, blinks open his large, startled green eyes. "Uh....." He mumbles quietly, obviously quite shy.

She dropped to her knees in the dirt, staring directly into Lomaris' eyes with her bright yellow ones before getting back up and pulling leaves out from her fluffy multi-colored ponytail.
