Say, for example, they have stats you like, and you want to level them up. You could choose a tag that labels them as a 'warrior', or 'apprentice', or something like that. Or, maybe just a simple 'mark for leveling', 'mark for breeding', 'mark for releasing', 'hidden traits', etc. Some indicator to remind you they have something you want to do with them. It wouldn't change the pet in any way and would be entirely optional and togglable.

If you're replying, please ping me. There's not really any reason not to? I created this thread? Why aren't you pinging me if you're directly speaking to me??

True, but you also then need a philter of amnseia. And, if you want to level up your pet (and are like me), you don't want your scary, super-strong pet to be named 'to be leveled up.' You wanna name him something like Blaze, or Flame, or something interesting. Having the extra tags would subvert this, and it wouldn't change anything else since it's just a label.

That's similar, but could be more difficult coding-wise. We already have tags, my thought was that these tags could be expanded on.

While I love the idea of being able to add notes, I absolutely would not want them showing up where the current tagged names show up. That is were I look to see themed names. The last thing I would want is to have it cluttered with random stuff.

Well, the tags would probably be color-coded. And, themed would presumably go on top, and ave some sort of emphasis (being bolded, underlined, larger, etc.)

Personally I'd prefer something like what Felisfire has - a 'bio' of sorts to put text in. Some people use it to trace pedigrees, others notes. I haven't been on felisfire in years so idk if that's changed. I believe this idea was illustrated pretty succinctly in the thread Lunashadow linked a few posts above.

And agreeing with Faeyla said - the theme tag shouldn't be grouped with user-added 'tags' or 'notes.' There should be a clear divide between site-created 'official' tags and user-created 'unofficial' tags.

I think user added notes should also be kept private, or at least with a toggle. It'd also serve as a cool way to make unofficial pet stories. :)
