AP literally means Advancement Points. As it you get them for Advancing in the story. You get them from do literally everything on the game. Nurture eggs? AP! Battle? AP! They are literally one of the easiest currencies to get on this game.
Besides it wouldn't make sence to may AP tradable. You get it from Completeing the game. Do you know how stupidly rich some players are with this stuff? If you made it tradeable it would flood the market and would decrease the value of AP (thus making everything more expensive).

Krin mentioned something about AP a while back. Some people have way too much- trading AP would mean that essentially all you'd have to do is ask an AP-rich player and you could max out AP without farming for it yourself.
